will someone please give me an almightly kick up the butt?? I cannot get motivated whatsoever to loose any weight. To all my friends and family i'm doing well cos I eat healthy around them. But they dont see me buying 3 choc bars in the petrol station and munching on them on the way home :o

I'm now at the heaviest I've been in my life :(

I know what it is like to buy food when there is no-one around to see you eat it. I also know what it is to have friends and family who think you are being good on a diet when the reality is quite different. I guess the answer is that you have to find the motiviation to take control of your eating for yourself, because the only person who will benefit from your weight loss is yourself - in both health, self-image and therefore self-confidence. It is so hard to start a diet when you are at your heaviest and I won't pretend that the first few weeks are easy but once you have stuck to it for a few weeks and you see the scales start to bounce down in the right direction, this will spur you on to go further in your quest for weight loss. Good luck with it.

Hi Krayzechick, you could try writing down the reasons that you want to loose weight and keep it in the car - that way when you are at the petrol station you could look at it before going into the petrol station and get a shot of motivation.

I can do it for a week thats no problem... Most people settle into a routine and find it easier after that, I just get bored and think 'well one choc bar wont hurt' ...but then that one turns into once a week, then 4 a week, then 2 a day :(

I wanna loose 2½ stone by September. 15½ at the moment. I go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week for over an hour. I'm making all the right moves, my eating just lets me down :(

Looking for some inspiration for some very low kcal desserts. After I have eaten my lunch I crave something sweet. Tried fruit and yoghurt but getting a bit feed up with that. Tried ignoring the feeling telling my self I am full and don't need any more food, but if I aren't very careful this ends with me buying a chocolate bar or cookies when I drop off the little one at school. Any ideas welcome. Don't find it a problem after tea as other half is watching me and I have a hot chocolate once the kids are in bed, ( Low kcal of course)

Mum makes yummy couscous with a Yoghurt (tastes like rice pudding!) and very very very filling. You can also mix in hot chocolate to make a chocolate pudding.

Try making Jelly? (i'm sure thats low cal if you get sugar free one?) From Frais with Jelly makes a yummy creamy jelly!!...make little triffles from it too if you plan ahead and prepare.

I'll have a look tonight, sure there is a reciepe for a swiss roll somewhere! :D

We have just had a very busy weekend with meals out for DHs b'day and also outing for Fathers day. I think I ate quite sensibly when out for meals and did not have a pudding. My problem today is what to make for lunches. I have been eating lots of mixed salads from the garden with little pieces of goats chesse but now I have become really bored. I have main meals planned for the whole family for the next month but I am really stuck for lunches for me so if anyone has any tasty low fat ideas I would be very grateful.

To those of you struggling not-tagged-smiley-14571.gif whatever you do, don't give up, these phases do pass

Be back later, got to get dinner prepared for MrP and DD, a make cake to bake and some jellies similar to what krayzechick mentioned - I use 2 sachets of sugar free jelly, the 1st one I make as normal and pour it over some of those frozen fruits of the forest, then I make the 2nd one up to 3/4 pint and leave to cool then add some low fat creme freche/yoghurt/fromage frais (whatever's in the fridge) and pour it over the set friut &jelly, this makes 6 little dishes.

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

My lunches are slimasoup minestrone or healthy balance baxters soups with 2 slices of wholemeal nimble or WW bread, tuna sandwich or sardines on toast or beef tomatoes grilled on toast, crab meat salad, my salads include sauerkraut, beetroot, slices of red peppers, celery, rocket salad (yum) tomatoes, cucumber, gherkins with tuna, sardines, crab meat, or you could have WW beans or spaghetti the little tins on toast....

Thanks Victory, I had tinned plum tomatoes on spelt bread toast with a little left over sardine ffrom yesterday. I am growing my own rocket so have it readily available. I think gerkins with tuna are a great idea as I could use them when I want mayonnaise. We cant get ww foods much here but I will look out for them in next months 'big shop'. I made lentil soup this afternoon. I boiled up lamb bones from yesterday for the stock and added meat that I was able to pick off the bone. Kids laughed at the idea of lamb and lentil but it is very tasty, cheap and (I hope) low cal. I am also going to go out and sow some beetroot seeds. I knew I had forgotten something. My menu plan for today is s fried chicken or pizza with chips and salad for the family (a special treat for them as we usually all eat the same). I am going to have potato wedges, salad and a bit of grilled chicken breast. I am very lucky as I rarely eat or want to eat something sweet. I am most definitely a savoury woman but cheese is my downfall!!
