    Morning All

Funny sort of weekend for me, my weekend with the children, it was the middle daughters birthday on Friday, once they were dropped off it was straight to my parents for cake and to see my family. Saturday was presents from me and then the blended family of Ms Suggs, her two children, my three children and myself headed to London, to have a wander around Covent Garden, get something to eat and then all go to watch Blue Man Group

During the afternoon, we let the children go for a wander as we needed to go collect the tickets, on the way back we stopped to have a coffee and then all this clapping and cheering starting, next thing we know it, hundreds of naked cyclists and skaters rode past  It turns out Saturday was the London leg of the World Naked Bike Ride   Our children were gutted to have missed it :rotfl:

Hi Suggs - DH and I were in London on Saturday night too, we went to Wembley to see George Michael, who was absolutely fantastic :D, as was the new stadium. The naked bike riders obviously didn't ride as far north as Wembley though!

In London again today, on a 2 day course, and saw pictures of the riders in the London Paper.

    Hi all

Apologies for not being around much for a while - as you can see from above. I spent all day yesterday catching up on washing and ironing, for one thing so that I had something to wear for the course today, but also because I'm off to Pembrokeshire for a week on Saturday.

I'm going to take my laptop with me and hopefully find somewhere with a free wireless network (has Starbucks got as far as South Wales yet? ;)) so that I can do the weekly update. The hotel I'm staying in tonight has a free wireless network, which is great.

Welcome back Tallgirl, and well done for your first week's loss. I'm a Long Tall Sally customer too, and have a search set up on ebay to check what's available whenever I go there. You can get some real bargains, considering how much the LTS stores/website charge.

Victory - your husband obviously thinks that this is just a phase you're going through, and that when you get to target, the new healthy eating regime will come to an end and you can all go back to eating what you used to eat. He needs to realise that eating healthily is good for the whole family, and that you'll all benefit as a result. Having said that, there shouldn't be foods that are completely off the menu forever - moderation is the key, so the occasional pudding/pizza/takeaway etc doesn't have to be the slippery slope back to being 4 stone overweight.

Beanielou - sorry to hear that fundraising for your trike has come to a grinding halt. Do you know that you can apply for one off grants for this kind of thing? Have a look HERE.

    Welcome theonetheycallboo :D

I've had so many days away with little healthy food to choose, I'm not looking forward to the scales so I think Wednesday is probably going to be Day One.

p.s. Does anyone know if Thriftykatie is away on holiday?

Well done to Victory , Petrichor and Tallgirl - you're weightlosses are fantastic.

Edit: Sorry, I should have said welcome to theonetheycall boo

It's been a really weird week for me. Drinking and bbq's most of the weekend and haven't been able to resist ice creams. (you would think the sun never shone on norn iron!:rotfl:)the worst of it was, tesco do a healthy living sorbet and ice cream but it's teedy and only 1/2 a point and I have a full box of them in the freezer but didn't touch them.

I haven't counted a single point (so I'm counting on having a gain this week!) I was so cross and fed up with myself. I caught myself thinking those horrible negative thoughts (you know - your fat and useless and can't even stop eating) I also know that I'm over eating because of habit. So today I've tried my best to start changing my habits. ( I know it takes doing something 21 times to form a new habit) . Instead of nibbling at biscuits after dinner, I cleared up the dishes and cleaned the sink. OH bathed DS and when he was ready for bed I headed off to the gym (I'm only just back and knackered!). I've been keeping an eye on my points today to try and get back on the wagon. I'm just off to calculate how many points were in my chicken curry tonight (HM and yummy).

Thank goodness for menu planning (does anyone else use the calendar from Microsoft outlook? I think it's fantastic. I print it out and put it up on the fridge so OH knows what to make for dinner if he's home first) Getting back to menu planning - it helps me to stop thinking about food all the time, I don't have to worry what to make for dinner for the next 2 weeks, It's already decided!. (Dr. Phil says obsessing about food is to a compulsive overeater what working as a barman would be for an alcoholic).

Really long post and I don't even know if much of it makes sense. Day 2 tomorrow! Have a great week everyone.

Woohoo!! I'm not the only one! :D

I have friends who think there's something rather strange about me because I plan my menus and stick it to the fridge with a magnet!

    Morning all

Thanks Erlqueen and Petrichor I did enjoy my wine, haven't had a drink for quite a few days so had two glasses in the end. Very nice it was too. (And I still had points left over  )

Have managed another 1lb off this week. Of course, the WW site can't cope with half pounds (I'm currently 11st 3.5lb), so it's rounding up this week  which makes me feel really good (not). The 'advice' it gives you is so patronising...telling you not to worry, that you'll soon see a loss.... OH keeps telling me its only a computer, not a real person and not to stress. He's right of course, but all the same...

Lois Lane I have the weeks menu plan stuck on the fridge too - helps keep me on the straight and narrow, and prompts me to get what I need out of the freezer first thing. (Thought it was only me!)

Anyhow, I'd better be off, busy day today and all. Just wanted to say a big hello to everyone who's new and congratulations to all of you who've lost this week!

    Take care
    D.

Just a quickie really to say welcome to all newbies and congrats to all losers.

Was well miserable this morning when I weighed myself to discover I had gained 1lb. :(

After huffing and stomping around whilst getting dressed my other half pointed out it could have been worse... I could have gained 2 lbs. :o

It kind of made me feel a bit better.... not much, but a bit....
Ah well. Must be a determined for this week to be a better week. :D

    Hi everyone.

Just a quickie to report a 2.5 lbs loss this week. I was pleased cos I thought it would be less and it has now taken me down into the next stone (which is a good feeling). Total loss to date 54.5 lbs (since January) - 1.5 lbs off 4 stone. Hurray.
  • Thank you for all the Hello's.
