:rotfl: Petrichor! Glad DD didn't get beaten up. It surprising how many times my user name gets shortened to Eri that I don't even notice anymore.
Sky Blue What a lovely post. You could do with keeping a copy of it to hand just on the off chance that you find yourself wavering. A quick reminder to yourself of that post would do wonders for your staying power :j
I hope everyone who is, or has been poorly recently (there seem to be a few of you - I hope none of you are catching  ) are feeling a little better after the lovely weather we had this weekend.
Went to the East Coast on Saturday for a little paddle in the North Sea. Coach trip with some friends. I was quitely impressed with myself so I'm going to blow my own trumpet here :rotfl: Normally eat sweets on the coach going, rock on the return journey, ice cream while at the seaside, doughnuts etc and a pub lunch. I thought I wouldn't be careful prior to starting class tonight but had small bacon sandwich (removed fat), fish (removed batter) and 1 doughnut. The saddest thing is I didn't enjoy the doughnut as much as I used too.... good thing in the long run but still sad for Saturday!
I'm waiting for the post to arrive then I'm going to the bank for work and will call in at the supermarket to stock up on goodies to eat at work for the following week. Wish me luck :rotfl:0 -
Well done tallgirl:j
2 more items came off ebay for £3 each again, must be this weeks price for me:rotfl: :rotfl: I know off people that have emailed and lied saying it is damaged or they can't find it or the dog ripped it up so they don't have to sell for such a measly price:rotfl: I have not done it myself but it is tempting:D0 -
Congrats TallGirl on your loss :j
Victory - nothing much to add to Petrichors' post as I agree with everything she said. Your determination and dedication to your change of lifestyle is a real inspiration so don't sell yourself short! You know that this has not been a 'diet' (that should be a banned word!) but a strictly enforced change that you decided to undertake. Not only have you been exercising and strengthening your body but also your mind. Your own inner mental strength will not allow you to slip back into your old ways. Everyday is always going to be a fight but one that you know you can win hands down every time.0 -
Morning All
Funny sort of weekend for me, my weekend with the children, it was the middle daughters birthday on Friday, once they were dropped off it was straight to my parents for cake and to see my family. Saturday was presents from me and then the blended family of Ms Suggs, her two children, my three children and myself headed to London, to have a wander around Covent Garden, get something to eat and then all go to watch Blue Man Group
During the afternoon, we let the children go for a wander as we needed to go collect the tickets, on the way back we stopped to have a coffee and then all this clapping and cheering starting, next thing we know it, hundreds of naked cyclists and skaters rode past  It turns out Saturday was the London leg of the World Naked Bike Ride   Our children were gutted to have missed it :rotfl:
Anyway we went to pizza hut, I did partake, it was my daughters birthday, (and I went straight back in the gym last night)Blue Man Group was great, we bought some discounted tickets via lastminute.com and ended up front row in the middle,
the birthday girl loved it and had a fit of giggles, which led tot he Blue Men staring at her and then making her dance
it made her day. Got home at 1.30am!!
Victory I cannot add to what our learned friends have already said, except to me this part of our journet is and will be the most difficult. We now have to step back off the merry go round, ease off a little and learn to enjoy your great success. You OH and DS sound to me
a) a little tired of the journey (imagine them saying "are we there yet!," journeys are never much interesting for the passengers)
b) concerned for your well being.
Your spot on about been worried about gaining, so am I but your a sensible lady, and speaking with your diabetic nutritionalist sounds like a good plan. Perhaps you should explain to them the maintenance plan and your goal? But I am sure you have done so already. To be honest Ms Suggs is concerned that I dont eat enough and train too much, so we are always talking and discussing our plans, I guess that we should be aware that what we do, however benefitical it is for ourselves has a impact on all those around usProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Victory - I totally understand your position. It's very frustrating when people tell you to stop losing weight and that you have lost enough when you know what your target is and that it is a healthy and reasonable target. You start a weight loss programme for yourself and I think it is up to you to decide when to stop trying to lose weight and go onto a maintenance programme. Having said that, I have never successfully maintained after a weight loss (that will be the next challenge for me!!!) but I am sure you will have the strength and ability to decide when enough is enough and stick at your target weight. Good Luck.0

Thanks suggs I know your words make sense, not giving up yet though as have a huge dread of gaining before hols which are in 5 weeks time and that I will not let happen...
Having a chat with nutriotionalist next wednesday (could have been this one but off to the London Zoo with the school, can't believe me and DS tube/entrance...£4, yes I said straight away I will come!!)
H has given me 30 days more to stop... yes, there are charts everywhere of weight loss, the boots weigh in's above the oven, constant chats about it, so yes 'are we there yet?' does come into it often!!
To celebrate the 4 stone weight loss we are off with a voucher from the saturday mail out for dinner to Loch Fyne, a fish restaruant, for £11 we get two courses and a glass of house wine (no wine for me) I am looking forward to it, have not eaten out for 6 months now or even more, the last one was a chinese eat as much as you like and I did!!! I have become obsessed with salmon and love it so if they have that on the menu will be delighted or crab or prawns, any fish really I like...
Crumbs next week is a busy week for me doctor's wise, I have the nutritionalist, the results from my hand, a rheumatologist for my foot, hey who says NHS are slow?:D When the Rheuma rang up and I said yes to the 20th of June, I hung up and then realised that June is this month, so was well chuffed and no he did not mean 2008:rotfl: :rotfl: I can see pain free coming into my life:rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway, today boot scales reveal a 2lb loss so only 2 lb to go and the journey will be over, or the hardest one of my life to keep it off, whichever, half empty or half full, plus I have now gone over the 4 stone mark and have lost 4 stone and 1 lb with todays loss...
Thank you Efrieze and Erlqueen xxx0 -
