After 3, count them, 3 weeks of maintaining I've finally lost....wait for it....1lb!! That's the hardest pound I've ever had to lose! My total weightloss to date is now 7.5lb and WW have given me a silver star!
Thanks to everyone on here who has kept me on the straight and narrow - every time I've thought about quitting I come and have a read of this thread and it's made me more determined to carry on. Believe me, it's been a struggle to keep going...
Big congratulations to Suggs - well done you!
Consultant31 I am so sorry to hear your news, and I hope your dad stays with you long enough to see his granddaughters wedding.
To everyone else who has lost this week a big well done you. To those people who maintain, don't give up, if you keep on at it the weight will shift. To anyone who has gained, don't let it get to you its more than likely a temporary blip, climb back on the wagon and it'll soon be gone.
Take care

Good Morning Lovely Peeps :j
Consultant :grouphug: despite everything I hope you and your family have a good time celebrating the 59th wedding anniversary today, that in itself is a huge achievement. My thoughts are with you too, and keep posting even if it's just to 'offload'. It worked for me yesterday, and I regard this thread as a kind of sanctuary.
Lois Can you include me in the 5lb challenge please? I did put mine name down but it seems to have disappeared, hopefully I'll meet this one because that'll mean I've met my target but I'm not counting my chickens just yet!!
Suggs I should point out that you have nearly lost me weightwiseso when you said this last week I had to laugh
..... Have to admit I did get a "I notice its starting to come off" a few weeks ago! .....
poohbear Thanks for your advice on the planning, it would save me no end of time and money if I could get myself into that habit. I just need the will power.
Well done to those of you who have lost again and to Marion for maintaining :T and Good Luck to those of you still to weigh in
xxxx
Thanks for letting me unload yesterday:beer:

Sa1sysoo signing in to report a 1lb loss, which quite frankly I'm surprised at after the week I've had. I've been sloppy, sloppy, sloppy!
No where near as impressive as heather ...4lbs! Well done!
And of course not to mention Mr Suggs! I would use a bow down and worship smilie, but I can't seem to get them on my internet at work, only my email. And particularly impressive as you're surrounded by all these women...
Victory, many thanks for your list as it's really inspiring. I have to admit I was putting it to the test at the gym yesterday... I had two minutes to go on the stepper and I wanted to drop the difficulty level by a notch, but I thought NO! Victory wouldn't, so I won't. I did shout "Carm Orn" at myself a bit loud and got a few stares though...
And of course welcome to all the newbies, and commiserations to the gainers (if any... I can't recall seeing any yet... I hope it stays that way!!)
Lastly, and most importantly, Consultant. I'm so sorry to read the bad news about your father. As said previously, please do pop in to just unload as it does help. I recall being informed to 'remain strong', but sometimes it's good just to let go for a bit.
Big hugs to you and all of yours.OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670 -
Hi all,
just thought I'd pop in and try to catch up. Wow this is a busy thread takes me ages to read it all.
Well done to all the losers and welcome to the fellow newbies.
I'm not holding out much hope for a loss this week but I'm feeling quite pleased with myself because I've got a skirt on without too much wiggling that I couldn't get past my thighs the other week so I must be getting there ,slowly.
Just wanted to congratulate Suggs wow that is a fantastic achievement.
And to Consultant31 I am so sorry to hear your news
Half terms over now so I'm hoping this weight loss thing will be easier now that everythings back into routine.
Bye for now0 -
Beanielou - the wedding was fab, I had an absolute ball - have another one to do in 5 weeks and now just can't wait!
As regards weight, hmmmm, lets just say I ate, drank and was merry and am not weighing in this week
That said, its only 5 weeks until I am bridesmaid again and so day one has started already. The 5lbs which were lost a fortnight ago have been foundand I would like to lose them and some more in time for the next wedding

hello, I'm a newbie to loosing weight.
To be honest, I am not over weight, I just have a big tummyI'm going to the maldives in December, so my target is to have a flat stomach by then.
I coach basketball once a week, an hour running around, it also means I get to use the gym for free (which I'm not doing at the mo)
Now I dont think weighing myself is going to work, as I am planning to go back to the gym (once a week to start with) so I will be putting on weight in the way of muscle.
I eat healthily but I think I eat alot <- which I am trying to stop doing.
Anybody got any tips on loosing inches from around my stomach, exercises etc?
Oh by the way, I'm maleembarrassed to say I used to work for barclays..sorry0 -
consultant my thoughts are with you
petrichor you go on as much as you want:D
I have been to see the doc about the gout this morning, I have an inflammed knuckle and the gout so he said "oh look they have the appearance of cysts so I reckon we could take a needle to them and get rid of them"... off he went to get a needle and obviously being diabetic needles do not bother me.... when he came back I really thought I was going to be sick:rotfl: :rotfl: , this needles was at least 5 inches long and he just said " let's start with the knuckle", I put my head down and screamed while he went about his draining.... anyway off to the lab with the gunge and to see a specialist for the foot....
See as the week has not been so bright health wise it is not surprising I go on the boots scales this week and have lost 3 lb so yeah, would not recommend what you have to go through to loose it though:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
