Hi Kelsi and welcome to the thread  Try cutting out biscuits and sweet stuff if thats what is your weakness. Alcohol is also laden with calories so cut back on that too. Try and increase your exercise a little and make sure you drink plenty of water each day. I'm not familiar with WW but I know that there are a few people on here who are following the plan - I'm sure they will be able to help you out. A stone and a half by August is achieveable - break it down into smaller chunks/targets though - ie to lose half a stone by Mid June, another half by July etc... Stick with us and you'll be there in no time
WellLast week I promised that I was back on track and determined to shift those pounds - after approx a month or more of not trying at all and being demotivated. I am pleased to report a loss this week of 5lbs :j :j:j What a happy bunny I am!!! I weighed myself last Monday morning after dropping off DS and DD at school on the scales in my mums house - they weigh me the same as the SW did. I have just been round, removed my jeans
and got weighed - WOOOOO HOOOOO.
Good Luck to everyone else with the weigh ins this week,
Honey xx0 -
Morning all

Morning everyone.
Thanks for all your advice about the trainer's diet. Yes, he is a body builder but it is a different regime than he's given to other people that I know go to the gym. I've thought about it most of the weekend and decided that I was not going to try and follow his diet - While I'm sure it works, I know I wouldn't be able to stick to it long term and I don't want to be dealing with another failure. I've got all of the WW info and I think I'm going to follow the points system. My meals are mostly healthy, it's the rubbish I eat inbetween that's the problem (and of course the complete lack of excercise.:rotfl:) I haven't counted any points this weekend as I've been really stressed about a hospital appointment I have today (going for an endoscopy) and I've got to fast from 10am. I'll start afresh in the morning.
The reason why I'm going to follow points is because I did it last year and along with the help of you guys on the LW thread, I did very well (pity about sliding off the wagon in September).
Well done Honey on losing 5lbs!:T
Victory I've just looked at your sig - that's an amazing acheivement - did you follow a specific plan?

Morning
sorry not been around, rugby club dinner was Saturday evening, I got home at 4am. Was back in the gym 6pm Sunday. Thankfully thats the end of the end of season celebrationsOn Friday I weighed myself and had got rid of the Weymouth tour excess, not saying the gain or loss as to me, it doesnt count, suffice to say I am Pre-tour weight, then I have Saturday to deal with
On a bright note the level of praise from people I dont see often was amazing
Well Done Honey, bet your glad you stuck with it now? :j
Good excuse RachelBoots have moved the scales to right next to the counter, so everyone and his dog can see me when I weigh, I am actually going to complain about it, when I can find someone and its not too busy.
Victory I see you have 3lb to target and I have 2lb till I jump on the soapbox and sing from the rooftop. Could we both be doing this in the next week or so?Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

No not WW or SW as such, just plain ban on anything that was high sugar, high calorie, processed, no crisps, biscuits, sweets,no take-aways of any kind, nothing other than high fibre, plenty of hot lemon, wholemeal bread, fruit, salads, sardines, tuna, beans, loads and loads of veg, sugar free jelly, muti grain ryvita crackers, no cheese, no ice-creams, nothing other than the very freshest, lowest calorie, soups are a good filler...
I hope so suggs, I have now got 1 lb to go and I feel like shouting from the roof tops that I can do it, I did it , I have until the 31st May (the docs gave me that date to achieve it by) and I know it is there, I can do it and I am ecstatic, it is worth every single take-away and choc bar I have refused to feel this self satisfied, nothing is better than this !!0 -
Welcome Kelsi-blu 3 children in 5 years and only 11/2 stone is a great achievement already, and together with the facts that you already know WW and are a plain eater tells me that you will soon be in possession of the 'body beautiful' :j Just by cutting out foods with a high fat content and by using low-fat substitutes, is a good start, also stop picking at any food that's left by the children it will only go to waste on your waist (because we never count it in our allowance, do we!!) Any way, Good Luck and stay with us :T ...
...Honey What a well brilliant loss :T :T Well done :T :T it couldn't have happened to a more deserving person...
...Suggs That really is very remiss of Boots  it makes me so angry when they don't give any thought to these things, no doubt it was some stick thin moron that shifted them. You tell them, in no uncertain terms. Well done on losing the temporary excess :j and I bet those comments were a great ego boost :j ...
... Well I weighed myself this morning. Last week as I was nearing the last dreaded 1/2 stone mark I decided to take the bull by the horns and increased my exercise, reduced my calories further in accordance with my BRM etc etc so that I wouldn't be struggling, only for the scales to show that I'd lost 0.2 of a lb (that's not even 4ozs!!!) I wish now that I'd pigged out on something at least I'd have an excuse  So in true petrichor fashion - I had a major sulking fit :rotfl: Anyway, after a walk to the shops (steep hills) during which I thought about what I would say to anyone here in the same situation, I realised that:-
1. It was a loss however small, not a gain.
2. That that paltry little amount has taken me to exactly the 2 stone loss mark.
3. Someone here would be pleased to have it rather than maintain.
4. I now have £100 in my jar that in the past I would have paid to someone else just to weigh me but this time it's all mine :rotfl: :rotfl: ...
...So the sulk has gone and I'm feeling happier now, but I have lined all the toys up on the edge of my pram ready for a major evacuation should the same thing happen next week
