    Morning all

Had a 7:30am meeting so early start but I did put the WM on before I went and washing on the line.

I should be flying but the sun is shining so I'm going to see if I can get the lawn mower to work for the first time this year and finish my gardening job from yesterday an then do a bit in my own garden too.

    See you later.

Skinty hope you heal quickly - how did you manage that?

Hi, back again after the manicness (is that a word?) of the last week. Had DD off sick yesterday but thankfully she's OK again now so back in school.

Just CBA to do anything but really must try. My get up and go has gone! Me and DH struggling a bit tbh but nothing we can't work through.

    Here's my list:
Tuesday - Living Room, stairs, landing and hallway
    Basic Flying

    Dust, even if around everything.
    15 minutes hotspot
    Deep Cleaning
Wipe all electricals, light switches, light bulbs and anything else that is shiny
Tidy up coats, shoes and bags - rehome if not needed downstairs.
Wipe sticky marks from walls and paintwork
    Decluttering
Sort through any magazines or paperwork lying around. Any that you don't want/need maybe you could give to the Dr's or Dentists near you.

Will do what I can before lunch and then after stuff it, I'm going out for a nice walk with Pip. I'm behind with the thread but will do my best to keep up now.

Clean kitchen window making it sparkle, don't forget to clear the windowsill of unwanted gumph!!

Jayzee - the carpet in our bedroom is still the cream one, still in good condition, but under a chair is a discoloured patch where our beloved ginger cat was once sick. It's been well cleaned but I can't entirely erase it as it's still a bit of him! We still miss him so much. RIP little Gingy x

Skint, your burns sound awful. You take care and I do hope you are soon feeling better from your ordeal. How did it happen?

Still full of this cold type bug, but managed to S&S bathroom and kitchen, damp dusted lounge and main bedroom, OH hoovered yesterday, so the floors are ok. Also washed out salad drawers in fridge and finished sorting fresh food in there I started yesterday. Just chilling now with an early lunch heating up, as it's a work day, and I've everything ready for that. We start making Easter cards today and i've some new music to take.

Good wishes to everyone and good wishes flying your way. R c

Still working on spring-cleaning my office. The bit I hate cleaning the most is the huge sash window with a radiator underneath it, access to both of which are permanently blocked by the huge table I use as a desk. That in turn is liberally littered with essential gibble, as I don't have any desk drawers, and the computer umbilical cords fester underneath the whole shebang. I couldn't face it yesterday, but managed to work out that the only way it was ever going to be sorted out was to disconnect the computer and move the table out of the way last thing last night. I am currently working in five minute bursts, soaping down the fly blows and several months of accumulated dust. Cleaning the windows themselves will be the last bit before I then crack on with the bookcase. It's 9ft long and 7 levels high, so that'll take an hour or three. The room has to be ready by 5pm-ish.

We've had a couple of days of sun, so I've started working on backlog of nets, voiles and shower curtains, so at least the nets are clean to go back up later.
    Better is good enough.

Got rid of almost 3/4 black bag of gibble from the landing :o. Finding it really hard atm as I am sure DH has bad hoarding tendencies which even he has acknowledged but when he mentioned it to GP she said no, all normal (even though it's not) and there's a broad range of what is normal and what isn't but he fits in. Every flat surface has carp on it, unopened post, screws, bits of tools, things which 'might come in useful' some day (2 broken showers but put the bits together to make 1 on top of our wardrobe in our bedroom and it's really getting to me.

Enough whining. Going to have lunch and head out for some fresh air.

Some (insert rude word here) drove into the back of my car the other day, while I was waiting to cross a roundabout, he then got out of his white van, came round and told me it was my fault for waiting at the roundabout and not crossing into the path of an oncoming car that did have right of way...he then told me his brakes had failed, he then did a 3 point turn, using said failed brakes.............when he drove the van off, after I had photoed his van etc, the police who were passing did stop and ask if I was oK and I am, then went to look for him and said van with faield brakes as they said it shouldn't be on the road!!!

Oh doesn't this sound familiar :( The van driver who hit me told me himself his brakes were dodgy! I told the police, insurance company and the accident and repair place, anyone who'd listen really :rotfl: but I got a letter from the police saying they weren't pursuing it  He only got a cracked bumper, my car's a write off!!

Morning flyladies and flygents  with left hand!

tmd, dusty and rowan you know I have the phrase about not burning the candle at both ends AND in the middle? and that I am the last person to take my own advice? well, it came home to roost (not roast as fried is probably more appropriate :eek::eek::eek::eek:) saturday dinner time

I was simultaneously "trying" make a cuppa, "trying" to unload DW" "trying to S&S kitchen" and "trying to cook some whoopsied steak in my new cough cough non-stick frying pan"

As a long standing rule as a serial re-offender/sinner at a well known slimming club;), I always use oil spray for "frying" or roasting, as I cannot bear food swimming in grease.

Heated my lovely new frying pan with my spray oil added my steak, but it started burning - quickly whipped out the steak, scrapped off the black bits, scrubbed the pan clean and decided to start again but decided the pan was probably not as non stick as it could be, but for 99p the quality was never really going to be great, so went on the great oil hunt.

I wasn't sure if I even had any so I went to all the cupboards logic dictates I would have put it......opened the cupboard where the froggy ESA appointment letter was hiding, remembering what it was cue immediate rage, frustration, tears and expletives and that was before I cracked my head shutting the cupboard door.

Found the oil, put a small bit in the pan, waited a moment then put steak in which caused it to spit so violently I ended up with a big fat spot half in my eyebrow and several smaller ones on my cheek and neck, and several large splashes on the underneath of my fore arm, which as I moved to the sink to put under cold water the oil dribbled causing more burns.

I did turn off the cooker instinctively before trying to sort out my burns. DD3 served up the burnt offerings with some micro mash, while I had my arm in a sink full of cold water and my head in a turbi towel with icecubes inserted in a double fold over to melt over my eye.

Paracetamol didn't touch the pain, but some dihydrocodeine from my c section took the edge of so I could function on overnight Daisy duty and to do the painting on Sunday.

I had my arm wrapped up in one of Skint Baby's clean muslins after the cold water to keep it protected, however with the strenous painting I hadn't twigged that my burns would be sweating as much as the rest of me. So periodically my make shift bandage would unravel, and carefully I would try and do it up again with mt left hand.

I was halfway through an intricate bit of wall when it half unravelled - I mistakenly thought I would finish that tiny section before climbing down and sorting myself out. Then I managed to snag the exposed blisters on the chair climbing down :eek::mad::eek:

THAT was the point of burning the candle in the middle -:(:(:( more codeine, finished the walls, ordered a takeaway and went to bed resolving to get my arm seen to professionally on Monday morning

I went to Minor Injuries for a telling off and dressings. What I didn't expect was to have my arm attacked with a pair of plastic tweezers pulling all the blistered skin off before having sticky gauze applied wrist to elbow.

I have to back Thursday, (it should be tomorrow, but I told them I have ESA appointment tomorrow :mad::mad:) without fail for more tweezering, pain and sticky gauze, so I am saving my last dihydracodeine for then, and today I am on diclofenac and paracetamol so I am in a lot of pain and on the snappy side.

What I can't believe is A&E will only give people paracetamol for burns???? with the advice of go to your GP if it doesn't help :eek::eek:

Still, dining room table cleaned throughly and paint splatters removed from dining chair. Floordrobe in my room removed at stupid oclock and two loads of washing pegged out in the dark to make the most of todays promised nice weather.

DD3 is looking to earn some cash, so I think she will be earning some this week doing wet jobs.

I managed to wash my hair laying down in the bath last night while keeping my right arm vertical in the air, but the thought of getting lucky enough to condition it aswell and keeping my arm 2 for 2 was pushing it, so today I look like a reject from the "Hair Bear Bunch" :D:D:D

Right time to lurk and have a cuppa- as I say on very light duties today :p
The cold never bothered me anyway
