Struggling here. Note to self: I really must remember to tidy up and de-gibble before I start cleaning. Doing it all in one hit is soul-destroying.Better is good enough.0

Oh gosh, every week I mean to do this but I've been ill yet again this week so I have literally done nothing on that list (D&V
bad times). I did however, clean the toilet, clean the sink, and changed the bedding which needed doing.
Hopefully with crack on tomorrow with tomorrows list.

Hi there. I'm in again this week, thank you to both Dusty and Natty. Like one or two others I'm suffering again this week - got a rotten cold, mainly in the eyes and nose - like I had in November, but thankfully not as bad. Where do these bugs come from? I never used to get things so close together like this, I'm sure. Anyway, good health vibes to anyone poorly.
Good luck vibes to Mr Ionafan, I hope it all goes smoothly on Friday.
Deckogecko - as a 'rescuer' of cats I can heartily say - no carpet, but rough, tough, buff hard flooring able to withstand mud, blood, sick and anything 'ick!!!
Well, if you want comfort as well, go for short pile (was it Kitty that suggested this?) so the little bu@@er's (sorry, dears) nails don't get caught in it, and if you don't like patterns go for that mottled shading that picks several tones of one colour, for example, as this will help hide any stains and also usually hoovers well. My little dears love furry rugs, which is handy as they are easy to wash, and also cover odd stains in the carpet that won't wash out!
Flying wise, I did a lot of sorting yesterday, while OH did more in the garden, as my cold was quite miserable. I sorted a stationery drawer, the cat's food cupboard and drawer, a stationery folder, some magazines and generally tidied round. Today, and move over TMD, I mopped the kitchen and conservatory floors after cleaning the kitchen units and scrubbed that sink!! I then went to work and tried not to speak too much and not pass my bugs around.
Good wishes to all and see you soon, R x
PS I wouldn't swap my cats for all the cream carpets in the world!0 -

Evening all, phew am I so glad I was caught up with my housework this morning as I had a letter from the DSS - they've caught up with me for my migration over to ESA
Got the preliminary letter telling me they are going to phone me, not that I will answer as I don't know the number so won't pick it up. Still they can send me the form afterwards and then we will see how I get on from there. Luckily I made a Dr's appointment for tomorrow to get myself on the list for long term phsychotherapy, and to sort my meds out again. Thank gods I have letters from recently from Dr's re my diagnosis etc.. So I am hoping these will all go in my favour.
But getting the letter this morning threw me for a fruit loop and I only got dressed at 6.30pmI was in my pj's all day and vegging out on the sofa watching gods knows what was on tv. I haven't even had any lunch, but I do have a pizza with my name on it for later
Will update the first post, with tomorrow's list, in a wee while

I think I've just been censored for using a naughty word!
In my earlier post I said I wouldn't swap my 'insert the plural of what Mrs Slocombe called her cat', for those old enough to remember that programme.
It came out as a series of ! marks!
I wasn't being naughty, honest guvnor!!0 -
Did I mention that I steam mopped the living room and kitchen this morningn0

Natty, I'm sorry you had such an awful day after receiving that letter, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly from now on, in getting everything sorted out.
Love, R x0 -
Managed to get the kitchen and bathroom floors mopped before going to work. Also basic kitchen flying.
Shattered tonight as I've not stopped all day. It's been really busy at work. My poor aching feet.0 -

Ooh, I was watching the shopping channel earlier (Sad, I know), and they were showing a steam mop! So I had a google and found one from Asda direct for £25 although it had a code so I got it for £21.70 incl. P&P
Can't wait to receive it, I've heard so many good things about steam mops.0
