RECENTLY HAD A QUOTE FROM TLG GUTTERING. THE GUY SEEMS VERY NICE AND CAPABLE WITH GOOD TESTIMONIALS ON HIS WEBSITE. WE THINK WE ARE GOING TO RUNG WITH THIS DERBY COMPANY. HAS ANYONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE OF THEM? Sussie:T0 -
I am having problems with Damp, we have lived here for 7-8yrs, but when purchased, we had the Guttering Aly Lined, but it seems to have not worked for long. I have emailed TLG, to see if they travel South of England, then I will see about a Quote. All updates to their services is Appreciated0

Hello there Jahmoo - Having done a little research on the internet TLG Roofing were on there. They have been to our property and had a look round and are coming to start the work of removing the old Finlock Guttering (Concrete) in March. They take it flush back level to the brickwork and then put up some more guttering that is in one full piece (made of plastic I think). The work will take a couple of days but the cost isn't cheap at just over £4,000 ! They do travel all over the country so it would be worth enquiring. Hope this helps. Regards, Sussie

Hi yah Susie
I am a new member and noticed your emails.
I am not sure if you have agreed to have work done with anyone yet but I have been removing concrete guttering for many years now and I am extremely competitive but more to the point I am a carpenter and joiner by trade and know the correct way to remove and install a traditional roof that won’t let you down in years to come.
kind regards Tim0 -
Hi yah Jahmoo
My company is called Fascias 4u Midlands Ltd and we cover from the midlands right down have installed recently in Somerset.
We are extremely competitive and have been removing concrete guttering for many years and installing a conventional fascia, soffits and guttering in PVC. We like to extend the joists whenever we can and install a vented soffit board which creates a large gap behind the fascia board and the remaining concrete. By doing this it prevents the cold from coming through the fascia board straight into the house. When the concrete is cut back and not extended it tends to remain cold on the inside. If I can be of any help at all please contact me. Kind regards Tim0 -

Hello Tim
We have agreed for the work to be done with TLG on starting on 11 March. It would seem a long way for you to come to give us a quote
but if you would'nt mind doing that we would be happy to see you. Thank-you for your interest. Regards, Sussie0 -
Hi yah Sussie
I would love to quote you Sussie. Have you actually signed and agreement with them if so you may not be able to get out of it if you did prefer my company?
I'm not sure if you have my contact details also if or what I’m allowed to put on here.
Kind Regards

Hello Sussie
I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with TLG. We have a house with exactly these gutters, a former council house built in the 1950s, and we're getting precisely the problems described here. I'd far rather bite the bullet and get them replaced than mess about with sealing techniques that might only last a decade. Good luck with the work.
Timmyjim03 - I'd already noted your firm after a quick google and I suspect we'll be in touch in time for a quote. The house is in Northants, which I'm sure would be no problem for you.
