Really chuffed with what I got from Co Op on way home from work tonight.
Medium sized Black Forest cakes reduced from £2 to 20p.
Indian Feast stuffed crust large pizza from £3.25 to 56p. Really different sounding ingredients too so am interested to try it.
Soft white rolls from 99p to 50p not such a great bargain but still good to stick in freezer.
They had the usual reduced down too:
Cookies - 83p
Fresh fruit pie - 50p instead of £1
Bread - 30p ish
Cream, yogurts, dips etc but didn't see prices.0 -
This is a good time to buy fresh Christmas food like fresh stuffings, pigs in blankets etc and freeze them.
I bought past few days 10 mini Melton Mowbray pork pies for 35p, pack of tempura prawns for 55p and TTD chestnut and sausagemeat stuffing also 55p all from Sainsburys. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Went to A$DA this morning and they had the whole salmon with a use by date for tomorrow. Am wondering if anyone has any idea when they usually discount fish items. Am i better off going back today ?time or 1st thing tomorrow morning. TIA0

Varies by branch - and if they only had one, may well have been sold by now if someone wants a whole salmon...0

fish reductions should get done after 2pm on the date on the ticket. this can vary store to store but also if the manager allows and they have a lot to sell it can be reduced in the morning. 2pm Is a guide as if we are busy it can be anytime up to 4pm. hth0

Went to Morrisons yesterday afternoon around 2pm and they had already started marking some of the fruit and veg down to 19p. I managed to get strawberries, kiwi, grapes, satsumas and all still have a couple of days dates left on them. I also got a £6 cooked chicken for £2, plus other bits and bobs. If paying full price, it would have all come to £33 but I only paid £10, trolley load of food, was very pleased.0

Hi, I have had 2p bakery items from Asda from time to time but your bargains were great! I just finished my last bargain loaf from Tesco - warburtons batch for 8p. It's often just luck - they always yellow sticker in the evening, if you turn up just at the right time you can find some good stuffMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I had a good hall last night, lots of 20p items including fish pie mix, fresh tuna, fresh fish, meatballs, 750g mince, organic mince and pork chop.
Sometimes I think Christmas is the best time of year for these bargains, as not just do the shops have so much, but lots of people are preoccupied with getting their Christmas food, and freezers at home are already full so less people looking out for YS.January grocery challenge £0/£300

I bought two packs and I saw when I got home that the self-service checkout machine had applied a BOGOF offer on top, resulting in -£0.38! This effectively turned it into a "buy two get both free" offer.
Reduced yellow sticker items are supposed to be excluded from any other offer, so I'm not sure why it happened.
This has been happening for a while in my local Morrisons. They quite often reduce meat to half price by lunchtime so with the multibuy offers I've had some quite decent bargains. For example they've had packs of chicken breasts for £4 each or 3 for £10. If you can find three packs reduced to £2 you pay £4 for the three with the multibuy discount. The annoying thing is that quite often by the time I get there there are only two packs left! The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
