I managed to get a lot of ys meat this week, at the butchery bit of sainsburys, nearly £60 to start off & it had been reduced to just over £13 for the lot.
It will give me meals for weeks.0 -
25p for four white baguettes
25p for a pack of mini chocolate donuts (pack of 20)
small potted red rose £10 -
Some great bargains, well done.
I've cut back a bit, but recent bargains have been a sack of potatoes from Morries for 59p (the £3.49 ones) and they were actually King Edwards - couldn't believe it. They kept well for ages and I made home made chips and froze with quite a few.
ASDA - flowers for only 10p per bunch - 3 bunches and they are still alive a week later. lol
Lots of 10p veg / salad stuff from ASDA also and a couple of steaks - small fillet for 80p and a ribeye for just over £1. Loads of bread also from ASDA for 10p.
I bought a guinea fowl from Sainsbury's last night for £1.75 (from £7). Not tried it and will make a casserole eventually.
Trying to say no now and clear some space for Xmas.

Tesco has been good lately for fruit and veg...
Two big packs of cranberries 20p each
Three packs of raspberries 30p each
Two stir fry veg bags 15p each
Four posh stir fry veg trays 35p each
Box of organic button mushrooms 15p
Big bag of green beans 23p
Approx 1.1kg of potatoes for 13p but wouldn't scan so till lady gave them to me for free!0 -
Morrisons Speciality milk chocolate and hazelnut shortbreads - usually £1.55 per pack, reduced to £0.19.
I bought two packs and I saw when I got home that the self-service checkout machine had applied a BOGOF offer on top, resulting in -£0.38! This effectively turned it into a "buy two get both free" offer.
Reduced yellow sticker items are supposed to be excluded from any other offer, so I'm not sure why it happened. Lucky for Morrisons whoever programmed those self-service checkouts must have put a safeguard in place to prevent an offer from giving back more money than the items originally cost, otherwise they would have ended up paying me!
I hope this doesn't count as stealing...0 -
Too many to list, but last night in Tesco everything in the fruit and veg department, plus salads in the chiller, went down to 1p each. I got loads, a trolley full for £3.25. I gave some to two of my neighbours. Chopped onions, beetroot, spinach, salad leaves, lots of fresh fruit, potatoes, three bean stew pack, potato salad, etc etc. I was dead chuffed. No one else there so plenty for me.

Last night bread down to 4p a loaf, cakes 5p, Finest large party cakes reduced from £10 to 50p, large fruit tarts Cherry, Apples, Rhubarb down to 5p. And there were hundreds to choose from the bakery.
I have never seen so many reductions ... there were more staff doing reductions than shoppers in the store. Similar price reductions on veg and fruit. I have seen more meat reduced than in any previous year.
Canny shoppers can pick up Yeo Pick&Mix 40g honey sauce for 5p which equates to 57p for a pound of honey which is great on yogurt or porridge. It seems Tesco have over stocked but shoppers (at least in the evening) are thin on the ground. This means that after Christmas there will be real bargains to be had (Last year I got half a filleted whole salmon for £1.10 and 30-35lb turkeys were £5 in large quantities plus turkey crowns down from £12 to £1).
Merry Xmas to all.0
