My local tesco seems to employ someone to look after the garden plants who doesn't understand they need watered every day. They also keep them indoors now (used to be out the front with plenty sun and rain!)
I'm not complaining, I've got about 20 fuschia, hydranger, acer and a few other garden plants over the last week for 10% of their full price cost, all becusee they'd not been watered and were looking a bit sorry.
Little bit of TLC and the vast majority of them look perfect!
I did chuckle to myself as I was filling my trolley one day as one of the towers they keep them on had an A4 sheet from the warehouse stating, in big red letters "these plants are very thirsty and MUST be watered everyday"!
Got some lovely house plants from B&Q in the same manner at the weekend too!0 -

Managed to pick up Kingsmill muffins for 33p in asda today this is a good branch for bakery discounts.
Also got some of OH s favourite deodorant half price in a YS (can't remember what it is but it's got a green label) they're usually never reduced.
*this is where I need help*I also picked up a bag of dry cat food, over a year in date, for 30p. We don't even have a cat. We have though about it though...
Now wondering where I can hide said bag so OH don't think I've gone totally mad/think it's crisps and try and eat them for lunch... :rotfl:0 -

I've picked up some bargains from Tescos that were bone dry and when I asked why they dont water them, they said they are not allowed to because of Health and Safety! What a waste - sometime their plants are beyond saving, poor things!0 -
