Found out last week that my local co-op does it 2nd round of discounts between 1 & 1:30pm , so have started to pop in at lunchtimes and got some bits of meat and fruit & veg at 75% off.
  • T`s last night:

They had truckloads (ok, maybe I´m overestimating here) of strawberries for 20p per pack, plus you got 1 tub free cream with each pack berries, so amazing! Been munching on berries all day, yum.
  • two tubs salad in tesco today (the ones with the thousand island) reduced from £1.50 to 23p each :)

Encouraged by my success last Sunday went back to big Tescos but found it mobbed. I could hardly move the trolley and had to clear a path through for a lady with a mobility scooter. No pre-chopped veg for me to bung in the dehydrator this time. A very varied selection of f&v but nothing to interest me. The sweetheart cabbages are so cheap at the moment that they will be my veg to dry this week. Better deals will come up I am sure. I did get a weight watchers tandoori wrap for 65p reduced from £2.60. It was delicious and filled a hole, but I do find that on the whole the value of the whoopsied food is about right at the reduced price! I can't imagine buying these bags of ready prepared veg at the full price at all.
