Which 2x£250 Monthly Savers are you using?
My plan was £1500 to FD, £300 to FD reg saver, £1000 from FD to Halifax Reward Account, then £1000 to Nationwide 5% account, then £1000 from nationwide to Santander 123 account.
If the only things I am trying to fill up are Santander 123 account and First Direct Monthly Saver then this is probably best for me.
Will have my Direct Debits going to Santander E-Saver and Tescos Saver, then standing order from them each month back to Santander 123 account. All interest from all accounts will be fed back into Santander 123 account to help fill that up quicker.
I have the hfx rewards current acc for husband and 1 for me because of the £5 reward,=£10 month. I have his wage coming in and small amount for me so its through both accounts in and out like a yoyo to get the total in £1000 each, then out until next month, now heres the question. I am opening 3 flex directs between us 1 each and 1 joint, does the £2500 have to be in the account everyday all day to earn the interest of 5% gross.4.89% for us? Can it be in and out each day like hfx(there may be a max I can move in and out daily so will check that out also) Can anyone enlighten me.
Many thanks. I like to put my money in and out of all my accounts to register them in each to earn interest daily on each, Ha ha.

I have just called local number 01793810948 for confirmation re how many accounts you can open and earn 5% on(if you pay in £1000/mth) 2 in total.
1 in your own name and 1 joint names=2 in your own name maximum
I am opening 4:
1 for me
1 for hubbie
1 for daughter
1 for hubbie+me
Good Luck
Does every1 agree as 2 diff staff told me different things:j0 -

Thanks, what qualifies as a "joint name". Is that only for married couples or people living at same address? Like could I open one up with my mum/dad or girlfriend technically?
Hello Alex,
They told me you could open up 2 accounts with your name in it
I asked if ok to open one in my name and then one with anyone else, ie daughter or husband, they said yes.I assume as long as you get the other persons signature and you agree they share money with you in end you can take your pick.
Thanks for info.:money: Martin is my boy.0 -

Alex I have just called Nationwide again to speak to a different member and he spoke to his manager and they said only 1 account per person so I am only going to put money into 1. Conflicting information, I was going to take money out of lesser interest paying isas so that is me sorted=only 1 per person.
Good Luck. :T0 -

Quick question. Did you have to transfer all your Direct Debits to them to be part of this deal? Can't see anything on the net for it.
I plan to just transfer monthly amount from my current account to this one. I presume that would be OK!
Thanks

All 3 in your sole name?
Have you got this in writing?
Nationwide are not alone in this, but very often one adviser/customer services/call centre/branch employee will tell you one thing and someone else gives a different answer.
If its not clear in the T&C then best to get it in writing:cool:0
