    :)

A small parcel can only be 8cm thick
    but you can have a cube of up to 16cm x 16cm x 16cm

Yep, but as discussed previously a lot of post offices do not appear to have realised this yet.

*edit* Search ebay for 'PPI labels' - you can get them pre-printed for reasonable prices

Wow I had no idea I could buy them 'ready made' - I might just do that to get me up and running quickly - I guess it's safe to give my PPI license number out?
What else do I need - if I understand correctly RM sends me bags to sort the mail...

Can I pick you brains please:D

on the RM business account, do you put in the address the parcel is being sent to?

or do you just order x amount of postage labels?

If I understand correctly once you have your RM O.B.A. and your PPI licence you can you can either:

    * Use a normal rubber handstamp (a charge of £6.60 will be added to your next invoice) or a self inking rubber stamp (a charge of £10.20 will be added to your next invoice)

    * Or RM can create a PPI self-adhesive label template if you require it

    * Or you can create your template yourself by logging on here: http://www.royalmail.com/produce-ppi

You can print/buy as many postage labels as you want but you only get charged for the ones you use (by logging into your O.B.A. account and filling out an online order which you enclose with your parcels)

I think that I will buy some pre-printed ones to start off with and carry on as I do now printing invoices with address from Ebay which I put in those document enclosed wallets...

No problem giving out your PPI number - everyone you send an item to will see it from now on anyway.

You'll get mail sacks, PPI labels, zip ties, recorded delivery labels/book and maybe a few other bits if you're signed up for Special Delivery and Airmail.

Keep an eye on your supplies and re-order them at least a couple of weeks before you run out as they can take ages to arrive. The sacks are the biggest problem - are you dropping mail off or getting a collection?

You don't enter any addresses when you book your deliveries in the online business account (only weights and quantities)

You print your address labels by any means you like. You can hand write the addresses on the packages if you like.
