If you have a RM business account what happens if you have any problems with a paypal chargeback? When I have had problems with a charge back before I have scanned my COP and that has always been fine and accepted, what paperwork do you have with a business account to show you have posted?
With an online business account (OBA) you don't get anything like a COP that can be used for Paypal chargebacks. Its one of the risks you have to accept, alongside not being able to claim for lost items (unless you pay for Special Delivery or RM Tracked). The trade off is that you get much cheaper prices (and none of this size restriction nonsense come April).

Small post offices are allowed to refuse parcels on health and safety grounds if they haven't got space for them. So question I'm weighing up is 'Do I pay Royal Mail £775+VAT for collection? If so, do I do it now or wait and see if I have a problem and then have a panic in December when they're refused and have to see if I can get collections arranged then?'
What cost do you put on your time? I'm in my third year of collections and its one of the best decisions I ever made. We qualify for free collections now but it was worth every penny even when had to pay. The closest PO here is a 6 mile round trip but also includes parking and then walking down a pedestrianised area, then queuing in the PO. The collections saved so much time (and stress) that it allowed me to concentrate on other more important things in the business. We started the collections right from day one of opening an OBA so the cost savings kicked in at the same time.

Thank you, that will be a good stop gap until I can get a rigid one.

Great find, hope it arrives soon so I can get my head round it. Like Soolin metric measurements don't register with me, but a visual aid just might.

I had a play with the PO's cardboard "training" one today - no mention of the small cube exception on it though!

Can't make head nor tail of it at the moment though :o

how are you doing with it????

I am panicking a bit, as it does take me a while to get my head around computer things:o

I am worried about printing off the postage thing, what if I make a mistake, or my printer jams etc and I get charged twice:eek:

I was thinking of getting one of these

But until I see the options etc for printing the labels I am confused:rotfl:

I have not got a PPI number yet, not sure if they send it by post so may have to give them a ring later.

I am just sorting out some listings on Turbolisting to take into account the new RM prices and have decided to increase my 'packing' element a little. I will no longer be adding packing costs for materials into my start price, firstly because my usual supplier has warned me that costs are going up due to their own postal charges and secondly because i no longer have to be paranoid about my stars as I can no longer attain TRS.

I'll see how it goes and if my stars suffer I'll change back- but my competition seems to manage with much higher costs than me.
