So I rang and got offered £7.50/month BB and Free line rental for 1 year.

Good but not good enough!! She's ringing back on Friday to discuss further.

Sneaky me recorded the call and got her to say thing like: There will be no additional charges and such like :)

I shall push for £50 credit on Friday.

    No ambition.

Read through the thread and you will see £75 credit looks to be achievable.

Fully recorded phone call with Karen from Sky clearly stating 9.6 mb speed minimum, no charges for not having other sky services, free line rental for 12 months, free 1571,1471,caller id, 12 month contract and £75 credit. As soon as I mentioned the £75, she immediately agreed to it. I wasn't pushy, I just said I'd been online and seen that others had been given it.

I feel dirty that I'm a sky customer, but clean that they won't get any money (bar £15) from me :j

RE: call redirection. I've got an orchid dialler, which I assume wont work with sky. I'm with 18185, can I direct calls to them or another cheap provider now I'm with Sky?

    Many thanks for everyones help!!!

No but you can use the 0808 access number for 18185. However some calls will be dearer through this.

    Thanks for the advice mate!

Can the 0808 number be pre programmed into the dialler, or my DECT handset?

Also, looking on eBay, the sky hubs are going for £15, so I should be able to use my o2 one and sell the sky hub so Sky don't get a penny of my money :)

    JFT96 :)

I would imagine it could be programmed into the Orchid although you would need to allow a delay after the initial number and before the next part.
  • Just got of the phone to Sky..

I got £17.90 Broadband and phone line rental with free eve weekend calls and £75 welcome credit...

Funny how when you inquire about mac codes and mention what you've seen others on a certain website receive they start being more helpful....

Still rather be with O2 :( and not sure if £17.90 a mth is good or not....
Aspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!

    Not that great unfortunately.

Many of us have got BB & Line Rental with Anytime calls for £12.50pm and £75 credit.

    Push them a bit further.

I was going to say the same hours ago but didnt no how to put it!

Yes you could have gotten better offers. E.g. Plusnet are doing unlimited telephone and broadband for a quid more! You have 14 days cooling off period if you do change your mind.
Save money, get the things you want! Blow it all, regret it!
