Ha ha. my neighbours if they go out in the car thats parked outside the front of their house will move their other car to that new spot. Does my head in!
They park out side mine and theirs and block the drive/ make it very narrow to get into.
There is also the idiot who parks outside my place and does it right in the middle so you cant fit another car there.... they only drive a small iygo toyota thing.[STRIKE]£2200[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£1950[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1850[/STRIKE] £1600 on my credit card

Sadly, many motorists are selfish, look how many park illegally despite there being available visible legal parking spaces . There have been police officers locally caught illegally parking marked police vehicles so they can go shopping. (They've been [STRIKE]disciplined for it[/STRIKE] told not to get caught again.)0

I can understand why people would want to do it but actually doing it is a different matter.
There's a family several doors up from our house owning several cars and a minibus. A couple of years back they had a drive put in, much to the pleasure of several neighbours including myself. I think they've maybe used it twice.
The youngest lad parks his car in front of the drive, half on the pavement. The Father parks his minibus in the road outside their neighbours, the daughter parks her car outside our elderly neighbours (their next door but one), forcing him to park across the street, or ours. Some evenings and weekends they have family down and they also like to park outside of ours but, instead of parking in the road so others can park on the pavement (not the actual footpath) they'll park half on/half off the kerb so no one else can park next to them.
By the time they're done there can often be 5 or 6 cars taking up a lot of the street, all owned by them or their family.0 -
My neighbours did this, not just one but about 3 of them. We're not far from the city centre so our street and the many around us would get clogged up with cars from workers. If you moved your car from it's space without putting anything there, you literally couldn't get parked again anywhere in the area. I remember one neighbour having an argument with someone who'd parked where his cones where.
The last month they've changed the area to permit holders only so the cones have vanished. Good! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Im a delivery driver. This annoys me too. I just remove the wheelie bin or cone off the road and put it in the obvious driveway or out of the way but off road. I dont care. Its a public road I have as much right to park there as everyone else. I have taken pictures before of any offenses which puts me and others in danger and passed them to the council and police to ensure the road remains safe for everyone with some success.
Had someone come out before threatened to call the police for parking on his space. I asked to to prove if he owned the land. He couldn't so I stayed there for the rest of my hour break.
If you are inconsiderate to others expect them to be inconsiderate back. Thats the way the world works sadly.0 -
Round here on a street with limited parking people actively try to respect keeping the spaces in front of houses free for the residents of that house. System generally works well - but obviously is only ever at the mercy of one guy with an attitude and a couple of cars moving in.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

My neighbour parks his van outside our house every day even though we both have driveways that'll take 3 cars and the space outside his house is mostly empty, I don't know why but it does annoy me but not enough to challenge him to be honest. Our cars are always parked in the driveway but it would be nice if visitors could park outside sometimes.. they have to park outside his house most of the time... bonkers!!#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I'm guessing that in some cases it's because of past vandalism and they just feel safer if the car is where they can see it. (Although they can't monitor it all the time.)
I agree, I had my brand new car scratched all down one side and because of this, I have become worried where I park my car from now on. I don't put cones out but I do get annoyed when I can't park outside my own house because someone not living on that street has parked there.:j

Would it annoy your if it were a neighbour though? or would you like me be miffed but just put up with it?:o#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
