    clarabel,

I would marinade if you have time and then add excess sauce onto meat whilst cooking.

    Good Luck - sounds yummy.

Ooo I like the sound of pork belly in BBQ sauce in Pitta bread! I have some pork belly in the freezer that might be heading that way!

Just wondered if anyone could give me some tips before I leave work at 4pm.

I am planning on reheating last night's roast pork for bf's dinner. I have decided that it will go well with a sauce (from a packet:rolleyes: ) that I have.

What's the best way to reheat it? In the microwave and then add the sauce afterwards?

I will be using the same sauce for my dinner, so can't really heat it up in the sauce, if that makes sense.

It will be fine in the microwave, you could pour over some sauce (reserving some for yourself) and cook it or cook it and then add the sauce, doesn't really make much difference.

    HTH :)

It does, thank you. I'm a bit dense when it comes to leftovers. The dog usually gets a luxury dinner! But this time, I thought nope, there is enough for the bf there! :rotfl:

  • Sorry if someone already said this but my nan makes 'poor man's goose'. Chop up the pork and slice a large onion and about 3 large spuds then layer potato then onion then pork. About three layers should do it. Add pepper between layers. then make a 1/2 pint of chicken stock with a cube and poor over. Put streaky bacon on the top and bake for about 30 mins at 180 with foil on top then take the foil off for about 20 mins to crisp the bacon.

poke it to make sure the spuds are cooked. It is really delicious with dark greens or cabbage.
  • I have a small amount of cold roast pork leftover and I was wondering if it would be ok to use this either diced and coated in batter and fried, to make Sweet and Sour pork, or just diced and fried in a wok with some stir fry veg added. I am always a bit cautious about the way I re-use leftover pork, usually I make pork, stuffing and apple sauce sandwiches, or just serve it cold with fried veg, but I fancied trying something different.

Any advice would be gratefully received, thanks
