You don't have a fixed price contract so increases are allowed to the tariff. .
If the increase is less than 6-10% then the increase is not unreasonable and you'll have to pay - unless they agree a goodwill cessation (however, as you've already asked, this seems unlikely).0 -
and the cancellation fee is the norm for landline contracts?0

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to post something up here about early cancellation fees, as with most utility providers we unfortunately charge customers early cancellation fees as most other telecommunication providers do have something in place like this, we base these on the contract you have entered into with us. It’s the same if you buy something online or over the phone, it’s not done on paper anymore but still means you have agreed to this.
annhan,
Of course we do look at all of our customers issues as a case by case basis so if you could send me an email with your account details and I will have a look into your account to see if there is anything we can do for you.
Kind Regards,

hi
would you like to tell me why i was charged 20 lots of cancellation fee (19.72) after i moved? despite me giving yourselves 6 weekes notice? AND after my phone call to yourselves last week saying you had made an error on my bill you still attempted to DD it out of my account? despite a young lady saying she would cancel the DD at their end. I halted it at my end and moved money from my account into a secure area. BUT that isnt the point!! i organised all this in plenty of time and now i will have to pay DD charges from my bank!!
any answers?0 -
I have a question.
I switched to you from BT for my line rental a few months ago. All my bills have been VAT free up until my latest one (I don't know if they should be or not). I was wondering why I am now having to pay VAT?
Thanks. It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:0 -
Hi LisaLJ,
If you could send me an email with your account number and your MSE username and I will have a look into this to ensure all of your bills are correct.

just to say further to my mildly ranting post a couple of days ago. Jo emailed me and resolved my query to my satisfaction with an apology (though she wasnt personally responsible). Once again Primus have sorted a query that i had without argument.
I think some of us (myself included) often do these call centre operatives and forum helpers a disservice, so i'd like to say well done again Primus!!!
have a nice day
