Really glad to see some positive scan results! Congratulations! X

My 12 week scan is on wed but I think I'll only be 11 plus 2.

I feel huge. I weighed myself and have only gained 2lb but Crikey I feel like I've ballooned! Never mind! I can hopefully tell people soon and breathe out in public!

Feel enormous today - doesn't help that all I crave is carbs and chocolate at the moment! Belly is protruding, wish it was baby bump and not fat and bloat!
    Happy Friday everyone!
  • Am I ok to join you guys here? I just got a TLP last night and have had some other TLPs today (and Clearblue says 1-2 weeks). Officially it's 5 1/2 weeks since my last period but I only probably conceived about 11 days ago. I've been feeling a little sick for the past day or two but today I've been worried about a dull ache in my lower abdomen. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm quite a paranoid person so have booked in for an early private scan in almost 2 weeks time (they say they do 7 week reassurance scans). Anyway, trying not to think too much about bad things - the more I worry about this ache, the worse it seems to get!
Anyway hope everyone is doing ok and I hope I can stick around here for the next 7 weeks or so:j xx

    Welcome thoughts please.

Aches & strange feelings are normal - although (in my experience) nothing anyone on here says will stop you worrying about them!

I had a couple of early scans privately. At 6.5 weeks, the heartbeat could be seen (which made me cry).

Hope everything works well, is this your first pregnancy?
  • TTC40, yes it's my first pregnancy and we managed luckily to conceive in our first month of trying (perhaps on our wedding night!). You're right, nothing anyone could say would really stop me worrying, I just wondered if what I felt was normal. Can't wait for the scan in a couple of weeks:j.

Hugs Nene pregnancy is so glamorous lol! X

Good luck to those with scans and great news to those who have seen wonderful wriggly babies :)

I had a early scan in the end, I'm only 5 weeks, the yolk sac looked fine so that reassured me i hadnt mc'd last week. They think a cyst is causing bleeding so I've got to go for a scan at 7 weeks. Quite anxious but hopefully it'll be ok.

Hello all - hope you're all OK. Great news about the scans and good luck for those having them next week.

I've had more bleeding and ended up presenting myself at EPU via A&E again. Had a scan and all looks fine (waving and wriggling :)), they just can't find a cause for the bleeding, and it's still ongoing. I'm trying now to talk myself into not stressing unless I have bright red blood gushing out (sorry TMI), but I still have an impending sense of doom... However, I'm 12 weeks on Monday and have a dating/NT scan next week so I'm hoping that if that looks OK I might start to relax. I've "spoken" to a few others online who said that they bled throughout their pregnancies, so I guess I might be one of the "lucky" ones there :o

So I'm going to go outside now and enjoy the sunshine while we have it - have a good weekend everyone:)

Sweaty Betty - glad you went to epu and saw little one safe and well. I had a bleed a month or so ago and everything (touch wood) been ok since. You're right - lots of women have various bleeds throughout their pregnancy so try not to worry. Hopefully the bleed will stop for good soon, I know how worrying it is. X
