It's driving me mad! I must be going to the loo 10 times a day then 10 more just to check for staining! Why am I'd doing it to myself?
Credit crunch: I am absolutely doing the same! I mc'd in Jan this year at 10 weeks and I'm currently 6 + 4 following an IVF cycle. I've booked in for a private scan on Thursday in the hope of seeing a heartbeat before telling people over Christmas (we're away for a week with family, so no chance of hiding it), and then we've got our IVF scan on the 30th.
Do you want an embarassing confession? I made my husband buy white toilet paper because I kept thinking I was spotting with the pink paper we had in!:o0 -
Ah ladies I think we need to set up some kind of "knicker twitchers anonymous" support group it seems we're all at it! I scared myself the other day by thinking there was pink on the tp when in fact it was my finger showing through from the other side!0

I'm doing it at 26 weeks ladies! I don't wear pink under wear anymore either! I did stop for a while but then had a scare so it started again!0

Congratulations Derby and other recent BFPs!
I wasn't sure whether to post on here - there's quite a few old-timers from the 12 month + thread on here now I see..
Anyway, I'm 5+3 after TTC for 55 months + (! should have started a separate thread..!) and as you can imagine, right there with you on the knicker checking..nerve-wracking. With my mmc in August, I did have light bleeding between weeks 8-10 which I convinced myself - wrongly - was nothing sinister, especially when it vanished - only found out at 12 w scan that it had died at roughly 7w.
So this time, I will just die inside at the first sign of pink.
Have thought of a reassurance scan, but I'm thinking against it because of my worry that if all is well, I might go into 12 w scan expecting it still to all be well, and something could go wrong between 8w and 12w. Conversely, if it's bad news - maybe I'd rather live in happy ignorance for a few more weeks like the last time?0 -
I am 18+1 and still knicker watching. I can't help it. I think its because I knew nothing went to my 12 week scan and the baby had died previous to this pregnancy. It might sound silly but I don't like wearing dark coloured knickers and I certainly don't like coloured loo roll!!!
I think I will knicker watch until I hold my baby in my arms.
Its totally human and its just our minds working overtime.
So nice to see some people who have been on a long journey to here.

Hey Ladies
There's a healthy baby in there!! We were so anxious and tense before the scan but it was brilliant seeing the baby so much more developed and moving around in there. It was a bit difficult to get the little one in the right position, so I had to do lots of jiggling about. I just got moved one day ahead, giving me a due date of 24th June.
I also had my booking appointment, it was nice to get everything done in one session, but the system has just changed so nobody quite new what was going on, so a bit of to-ing and fro-ing. I didn't get loads of questions others have been asked, about birthing choices, bf-ing or domestic violence. But we got charged £6 for a single photo which seems like a record-breaking amount! It is a bit blurry but still so nice. Honestly, I am sure so many families have better things to spend that money on, especially at Christmas. We also got enrolled in a clinical trial on pre-eclampsia so got another scan to measure the blood flow, and got to see the baby twice, and some extra blood tests.
It feels like we can finally get a bit excited now, I know there is still a risk but it is smaller at least. This was the best Christmas present ever
Congrats and welcome Credit crunch, Beckyandjack and especially Chickpea. I really hope you all have super smooth pregnancies.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
