With regards to consultants I didn't pick mine. The midwife had a list of which consultant deals with which conditions. So initially I was put down to see one due to my BMI of 40 but then the problems in my previous pregnancy (where my BMI was under 30) trump that so I'll be seeing a different consultant. I didn't know you could pick and choose, mine has just been allocated to me but I don't mind as I understand why I have to see them and it's reassuring that they will be keeping a close eye on me. Just annoying I've been told no chance of a waterbirth again!

Feeling quite nauseous today and shattered. Still bleeding and passing large clots but no longer worried about that as it's been confirmed it's not coming from the baby or it's surroundings. I'm going off food too, about time really as I dread to think how much weight I'd put on if I kepton eating like I did before. I've actually eaten some fruit the last couple of days which is very unlike me, especially when the other option was chocolate! I'm another one that will not entertain eating chicken at the moment. It's either minty lamb chops or steak at the moment but most of the time I really don't know what I want. Usually I'll eat almost anything!

Still no letter so I rang up to enquire.. It's been posted... It'll be on fri 20th! Yay! I'm so pleased it is this side of Xmas . Rang husband to tell him, all excited, he couldn't talk, but rang back 20min later. When he proceeded to winge it's bad timing so close to his office closing... Then he worried about his workload & getting time off. Yet his boss said he could take it, so theres no issue. Basically it really upset me, he said nothing about the actual scan (excited, nervous etc), just went on about work and jobs etc.

I have my scan tomorrow afternoon ! can't wait ! It's gonna be sooo hard to sleep tonight, i'm so excited !

Still feeling sick and very tired, my jeans are starting to feel tight too, though probably just bloating and water rentention, baby's so small yet.

A quite good friend just announced she is expecting! Due June, just had her scan. I'm so pleased for her. I knew she was trying. Can't wait to tell her our news, but I'll wait till after the scan.

Went shopping for a dress for husbands work Xmas party today. Decided it was best to go up a dress size to accommodate my boobs! I went with a friend who knows so it was a lovely giggly girly outing. She took me to lunch and I actually ate a full meal!

Sorry for the delay! All is well! Baby was in a lovely position, then it decided to turn to face us so the woman couldn't get the measurements until it turned back!

But here he or she is... I have always thought boy, but now I'm thinking girl! Now due one day earlier, on the 15th June 2014. All good, just need a GTT test and to see a consultant after the next scan due to high BMI (37) and PCOS.

Either way, I'll 'graduate' and hope to see you all soon... I will be lurking for equally good scan news from you all! x x

Hi ladies I hope you don't mind a newbie saying hello.

I've lurked on the waiting and TTC threads for a long time and have just found out I'm five weeks pregnant after trying for nearly a year. My husband and I can't quite believe it yet and arn't telling anyone just yet so its been lovely reading how you are all getting on.

I've got an appointment with my GP tomorrow mostly to discuss the medication I currently take so maybe it will all start to feel a bit more real then!
