    Welcome wangdoodle and congratulations! :-D
  • Nice to see you here wangdoodle. Glad to hear your hcg levels are increasing. I'm 34 (will be 35 when baby is born) and this is #2 for me.

robots I know you're not supposed to go into a jacuzzi when pregnant, but I'm not sure what constitutes an acceptable bath temperature. I like my baths hot!

AFM, not had my tea yet so feeling a bit sick, not sure if it's the morning sickness kicking in (I'm 6+2 today) or if it's just because I'm hungry. My pizza at lunchtime was lovely but not filling enough. Being very naughty again and have ordered a chinese takeaway to share with OH, I can't be bothered cooking!
  • Aquamarine - having a hot bath is one of my main pleasures!! I love a really hot bath :) Funny - as you don't read anything in pregnancy books etc about it and midwifes don't warn you about it, but I feel vaguely guilty each time I turn the hot tap on! x
  • Hello all

Congrats to everyone who has had good scan results recently and to anyone who has joined us recently X

Sorry I've been AWOL. It is fair to say that I feel horrendous....being sick every morning (bile :() and feeling nauseous all day and some days I'm sick in the evening too. :o

I'm 7 weeks exactly tomorrow so think I have a while to go of sickness.....I'm so happy to be pregnant though that I'm trying not to moan or feel sorry for myself. This little bean is so very much wanted :)

Have my booking in appointment on Wednesday which is exciting and only 15 days until my reassurance scan!

Hope everyone else is well X

    Hope todays scans went well.
    Welcome Wangdoodle.
I just can't eat enough at the moment-went into work yesterday with a tuna pasta salad as I had forgotten my team was going to a local Italian for a birthday lunch, so went out and stuffed myself with that. Picked up a toastie for todays lunch and had the tuna pasta as a mid afternoon snack today.
The nausea and exhaustion seems to have calmed down a bit over the last couple of days, so fingers crossed I'm over the worst of it now.

(I'm 40 at the moment, will be 41 when Wee Bean arrives, and my other baby will be 17! eeek!)

Catloverbex-I felt really guilty about moaning and not bursting with happiness about the grotty pregnancy symptoms and got really upset about it even though I am delighted to be pregnant and it has been a long, hard and painful journey to get here, I think feeling crap takes over, but doesn't take away from being happy about being pregnant x

Firstly sorry for not updating earlier, after the scan I had to drop my OH in London, have spent 5 hours driving today! :-0

Anyway....... Scan was amazing! First of all baby was asleep and looked upside down so she asked me to go out for a wee and see if that woke them up

Went back in and there they were moving around, kicking there legs and opening and closing there mouth

Got a new due date of 21 May 2014

The lady doing the scan was lovely and gave us 5 photos for free.
Heard the heartbeat too which was lovely xx
  • Congratulations chelseablue - how exciting! So pleased for you x hope to see you very soon on next board!
  • Congrats chelseablue so glad you had a lovely scan!!!!

Ours went......equally as lovely :) baby was facing the scanner and as soon as she pressed down jellybean decided it wasn't having any of it, and turned round to give us a lovely bum shot instead!! She had to readjust the scanner and we got to see baby. It was perfect :) baby then just lay back with its legs crossed throughout most of the scan like it was posing!! So we were in there for a really short time because she was able to get all the measurements really easily!!

I've got a new due date too, was originally 12+1 today but I'm actually 12 weeks and 5 days today :) so new due date of 25th may!!!

We also got 4 photos all brilliant poses and with legs and arms flailing everywhere!! :D

So happy! Went to mothercare straight afterwards and we brought baby's first outfit....a pack of three bear sleep suits :)
