Oh, be naughty, we have an excuse now! :rotfl:

Just scoffed two bowls of homemade pork fried rice. Rice, sweet peas, pork chops diced up, mushrooms, soy sauce, and black sesame seeds! I wish there was more, but we've eaten it all. :o

I need to go make pancakes for tomorrows breakfast. I don't know if I have enough energy to make and cook a batch of tortillas and make breakfast burritos (bacon, eggs, cheese, mushrooms in some, then the same but pork chops diced instead of bacon in the others). I'll probably make the tortillas tomorrow and make the breakfast burritos as well as maybe some rice and bean burritos.

I'm actually hungry today! What in the heck has happened to me today?! :p

Blooming hell those breakfast burritos sound absolutely amazing....you've actually made me hungry which is quite rare for me too at the moment with the sickness!!!!

I think I know what I'm going to be making OH make at the weekend :D

Rachelet - welcome and congrats :T tell your husband to suck it up - that's what other halves are for :D whenever my boyfriend starts moaning about anything I'm like 'suck it up man I'm carrying your child and you don't hear me moaning' that usually shuts him up teehee

  • Mrs_t_m I'm now slightly obsessed with your breakfast burritos and my new aim is to get OH to make one for me. How do you make them? And then do you freeze them to make them last the week?

    Hello :)
    Welcome Rachelet.
Sorry for not clocking in earlier-I went straight to work after hospital, then went for a bra fitting, then popped up to see the parents who came hime from a holiday in Australia this afternoon, so it has been all go here.
Appointment and scan went well, dated as 11+5, so EDD of 31st May. Due to my age, the ICSI, and it being more than 10 years since my last pregnancy I'm high risk for pre eclampsia, so will be closely monitored towards the end and induced in the week before my due date.
Good luck to tomorrows scans, and here is a pic of my wee bean :)

    Thanks for the welcomes!

The breakfast burritos sound lovely but not sure I could stomach eating them in the morning! I can just about manage a plain biscuit!

I think my husband is already fed up with me moaning and his latest comment is that I am already milking it! We decided to move some furniture around last weekend, well I decided and he moved it!

I also think he gets a bit bored with me saying I am feeling sick and he doesn't quite understand.

Like, at the moment, my sense of smell is in overdrive! I can't stand the smell of garlic at the best of times but currently I absolutely hate it! Is this happening to anyone else? I don't remember it being like this before!

Lovely scan picture MrsHappy - I can't wait to see mine now, but haven't even been to the doctors yet and I think from memory, I won;t get a scan until about week 13. I think I will be havign lots more tests this time as I weigh lot more than I did with my previous pregnancies and am a bit older.

If you don't feel like making tortillas from scratch (it's a definite upper body workout!) just buy tortillas to use. Prep everything that you want to go in them, and scramble your eggs well so that they aren't runny. Line up some tortillas on a clean counter and start putting things in.

Let me see if I can find the website that gave me the idea, it explains it much better than I do! :rotfl:

Here we go! Ignore the ingredient list, unless you want those things in your burritos. Anything goes!

There's a section called 'Putting it all together' on there that shows really well how to put them together, fold them, and wrap them. HTH! :)

My smell is in overdrive as well, and I'm hating it! We have two bunnies (Netherland dwarfs, tiny little house bunnies) who are litter trained (mostly). We used to change the boxes every 4 days, or more often if needed. Now it's every other day minimum because I can smell the ammonia in their urine!

I was nearly sick washing up tonight because I didn't realise that the bowl that DH used to make pizza crusts last Saturday hadn't been cleaned and had water sitting it it... Since Saturday... rotten flour smell = gag!

I used to like the smell of bread, now I hate it, and I can really really tell when our neighbours are home. They smoke outside and our windows aren't really good at shutting all the way. I hate ciggie smoke anyway, but having it seeping into your kitchen window with the windows closed is an immediate leave the room time.

I also cannot walk past a Subway restaurant. It smells sooooooo good!!!!!

  • Just a note re weight/ being weighed. . Here (apparently) they weigh you at your booking in and then not at all until 36 weeks so as not to give expectant mums a complex :-)

Welcome to all the. Newbies - looking forward to more of you graduating to the next thread

  • My sense of smell is also on overdrive... What are people's worst and best?

Worst thing: meat and the fridge! I never like the smell of other peoples fridges anyway no matter how clean, but now I hate mine too! The seal isn't 100% so I've gaffer taped it shut!!

Best Thing: the smell of the cold that comes back in with the dog and wafts off her for a minute or so after her evening walk!

  • Aww congrats mrshappy and that's one cute little bub!! :)

Sorry to hear about the risk of pre eclampsia, good that they're identifying it as a possibility early though so they can keep an eye on you :)
