Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3
Comments
-
Afternoon ladies. My update from seeing the doctor last night: I've got high blood pressure which at 5 weeks is probably not down to the pregnancy but other factors. I've got to go back on 20th November to have it checked again unless my booking in appointment is moved forward. My booking in appointment is the 27th November and I'll be 8 weeks exactly. I'm to get immediate medical attention if I get any bleeding. Looking on the computer screen it also appears my BMI is 37.7 when it was last checked in May, not the 36 I thought it was!
I told my direct line manager I'm pg today just in case I suddenly feel unwell at work, and also it means I can make as many medical appointments as I want without worrying about the times. Just as well as I have 2 in the next 3 weeks.
Mrs T M I've done nothing but eat junk the last few weeks. The baby doesn't feed directly from you until 12 weeks anyway so I'm hoping to be eating healthy again by then
Cllola I definitely do not want twins. I'd have to buy a bigger car and I want to breastfeed again, which would be more difficult with 2. That said if it is twins they'll be just as loved as if it was 1 and I'm sure I'd cope.......eventually!
Robots I hope you're doing ok today
xx

Hahaha 'coming out day' that made me laugh.
I also am in a few pieces of maternity wear, although most things except trousers still fit. I have fallen in love with maternity leggings. I can't stand anything tight over my belly at the moment so although the big over the bump bit isnt filled out yet it does feel nice to be 'free'!0 -

Oh my gosh I am exactly the same! My old leggings even the slightly bigger ones were making me feel SO sick on my belly!! It felt like I was being squeezed to death!
Would welcome any ideas of where to buy maternity leggings and/or tights? So far I've only found tights in Mothercare at £10 a pair  but I had to bite the bullet and buy two pairs because I couldn't stand it any longer! I literally ran to the toilet at work afterwards and put them straight on!
Then today I found maternity leggings in New Look and they were 2 pairs for £15 which was slightly cheaper but I haven't tried them on yet so they could be awful....lolOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Am I weird due to I love the fact only me, OH and my best friend know about the baby?
I'd quite happily not tell anyone elsebut Im naturally quite a private person so maybe it comes from that?
If all is well at the scan next week then of course we will tell close family but I at the moment I have no plans to announce it on Facebook.
Am I a complete weirdo?0 -
Mysecretalias - I bought a few bits and pieces from ASOS - not sure of the prices for leggings though
Chelseablue - I haven't announced it on Facebook yet and i'm 14+2 - I just wanted all family and close friends to know first... now they know I just keep putting off 'The big FB announcement'... not really sure why??0 -
I guess the thing that puts me off putting it on Facebook is why would people I havnt seen since I left school 14 years ago care if Im having a baby?0

Me too! I am currently living in leggings rolled down so they don't touch my stomach! Think I will have to invest in some maternity ones after 12 weeks!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -

We get so ripped off sometimes as pregnant women, My OH bought be some of those travel sickness bands to try out for the morning sickness (yet to arrive so can't comment) but he found something called 'preggie pops' and asked if i wanted any. I googled it and apparently they are basically sour boiled sweets but because they have said they are specifically for pregnancy and easing morning sickness then they can charge 4x as much for them!
My maternity leggings are from peacocks, can't remember what i paid for them i'm afraid but i think around £8. Dorothy perkins used to be good for maternity stuff but i don't think they do it anymore :-(
I have got a few bits from Ebay, if you're not fussy about second hand stuff then you can get some bargains, especially if you have to get an outfit for a special occasion.
As for tights i got some in the bigger size than normal as i tend to wear dresses with thick tights in winter so hopefully they will see me through until the 'size of a whale' stage at the end when it will be summer again!!0
