Hello! A very early visit, think I'm pregnant but just had a few questions if that is ok?

Had mmc in August then an ERPC on 4th September. No AF since then. THINK I ovulated a couple of weeks ago. Did a test a couple of days ago. Faint positive line, another two yesterday, again faint positives. Then a final one today - fourth positive. Digital says not pregnant and clear blue was negative too!

Tonight I did an OV strip and the second line is as dark, if not darker, than the control line.

Very confused - am I pregnant or not?

I have to wait around 10 hours to find out I think ... will do another with fmu but im confused about the ov strip.

Has anyone heard of that before? xx xx

Rosie, I've known ladies who've used opk/ov strips to test for pregnancy before - some of the same hormones are around for both, though it's not a recommended test to check for pregnancy.

I think, depending on how many weeks you were at mc and whether you've had negative tests since, you've got 2 possibilities.
Either a) your body still has some detectable level of pregnancy hormone from your mc, and this it's what the pg tests are showing (This is highly unlikely if you've had negative tests since the erpc)
OR b) you're pregnant and it's too early for the higher sensitivity digital tests to pick up yet. This is particularly likely if you don't know when you ov'd.

I'll be hoping for possibility B for you. Fingers crossed! :)

    Great news Sam :)

SamToby, wonderful news about your bean... must've been lovely to see it on screen and know everything is progressing well x

Thank you for asking about me. I don't really have anything to report apart from still feeling a little anxious about the whole pregnancy thing. But I feel ok and I dont have any reason to worry so I'm just taking each day as it comes. I dont really have many symptoms at all (same when I had DD) so its hard to gauge if things are ok iysyim?

I still havent rang up for a booking in with the midwife... I need to ring up today... god knows when i will get an appointment.

I have been terribly busy at work and home atm so the days seem to be flying by but these first 12 weeks still seem to be going dead slow!! I know that makes no sense :o

Anyways how everyone else is well and enjoying their first trimester...

    Gops xx

Hi Rosie - did you ever get a negative after your mmc? I think I was positive for at least 4 weeks after mine. Fingers crossed yours is a real positive :) let us know. Perhaps go to DRs - and have a blood test??

Hi Goppers - know what you mean about being anxious :( Ive just spent a restless night because I have a slight (ok v slight!) pain in my side. The pain didn't keep me awake - my mind did, its working overtime.

glad all is going well Cpoir x I am definitely podging out (3rd child)... finding it hard to hold my stomach in, baggy tops are my friend as I don't want anyone to know.

Hi Sophiasmum, yes i have had twinges in my tummy lower right side the other day on and off... they were bothering me but it seems to have stopped now!! I have been told that its just my insides stretching out to make room for the bean... i'll take that!! xx

    Good morning ladies,

Rosie_78 It might just be too early for some tests to show up. Some are more sensitive than others so can show a positive when there is less hormone. Doctors sometimes do blood tests to see whether you are pregnant. Not sure if they give you instant results though. Please keep us updated with whats going on. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your BFP

Goppers I know what you mean about time moving fast and slow at the same time. It doesn't help that I am ticking off each day as it comes and goes.

Sophiasmum I have that same pain on my right side and was told that it is because you ligaments are stretching to accommodate the baby growing. Hope that reassures you somewhat.

Has anyone watched this weeks Midwives? Last night I watched it on catch-up and couldn't believe the woman that discharged herself! I was so glad when she went back to get the baby checked out. I still haven't decided whether it's a good thing for me to watch programs like this. Part of me wants to be aware of what is ahead so that I can be prepared and then part of me becomes terrified at what I'm seeing. For example, one women this week had triplets!!!

Vickyvics - thanks! I know it's weird and I'm going to really try and stop stressing so much all the time - I know it's not good for me or the bean. My boobs have also grown massively!!! No bump of any kind yet, but clothes are definitely feeling tighter with bloating at different times of the day.

I think part of the worry is that so many of you brave ladies on here at the mo have had MMCs that I'm just really paranoid about it. Going to try and not think about things so much and try and enjoy this time now. Got my booking in appointment with the MW tomorrow and telling one of my close friends tonight, so looking forward to that.

Gopppers/Sophiasmum - I spent nights awake worrying myself silly when I DON'T have any symptoms at all - how stupid is that??!

Samtoby - very pleased for you - hope you can relax a tiny bit more now (easier said than done no doubt!)

rosie78 - hope you get your BFP confirmation today

Need to invest in some new bras! No other bump though, but bloating makes my clothes feel tight every now and then.
