I've got my booking in appt this afternoon so I took the opportunity to take the whole day off work, lol good job to be fair as I'm really not sleeping well and have been awake since 4am. I tried to go back to sleep after my husband and daughter left this morning but it didn't happen so I'm now tucked up on the sofa watching Great British Bake Off and I've had a stack of American pancakes for breakfast Oh and I've just had a call from my midwife to say that they have had to change the venue of my appt as my dr surgery is closed this afternoon so I've got to go to the health centre where the community midwives are based instead. Which is fab as it's half a mile closer to my house and I've got to walk as OH has the car

Morning everyone,

Sorry another BFN Rosie - are you sure you ovulated - I did use a ovulation test before a pregnancy test and it was positive but I don't know that these are good indicators all the time.

Writing my first essay for my uni course today - I made a good start last night but now I have looked at it again I think it looks rubbish :-/

I am in that limbo where time has gone quite fast but I think the next week or so will go really slow. I am so frightend but positive if that makes any sense - probably not - hormoanes and all that.

Will this be the actual booking in appointment?

OH is insisting on coming with me (for the time off work I reackon )

chelsea yes this will be your booking in. Lots of paper work to fill in on your notes (medical history etc...) and a bit of a chat with the midwife. They'll ask you which hospital you want to go to and will then refer you to that hospital so they can book your scan in.
They make take blood from you, or ask you to go in to get it done at the clinic/hospital.
My oh insisted on being there too!

sophiasmum/samtoby - thank you for your lovely comments. i am really not normally known as a worrier, so am surprised by how anxious I've felt in the last couple of weeks. am really trying to relax a bit and enjoy it more now.

rosie - really sorry to hear that. hope it will not be long before your BFP.

chelseablue/phoenix7 - I've got my booking in appointment this afternoon too - EEEEK! Feels very "real" at last! DH is super excited and insisted on coming too - I did tell him that it's not going to be terribly exciting, but he definitely wanted to come.

Our reassurance scan is one week today and I really cannot wait to try and see our little pip

Hope everyone is feeling ok today.

Rosie - I'm really sorry for your BFN. I hope you get your BFP soon.

I've been trying to convince DH that we should have a reassurance scan done but he isn't convinced unfortunately. He is very much someone that only wants to think positively and so for him this scan is un-necessary. Whereas I daren't get too many hopes up just in case. I think it would just make me feel so much better if I had one done.

Becsxxx - Ill be very interested to know what you think of yours. Have I got it correct that you are going to Babybond in Castle Marina? Or am I mixing you up with someone else?

We have told both sets of parents and my best friend knows as does his. To be honest it would have been a near impossibility to keep it secret from them. Plus if anything does happen then it will be nice to find comfort from these people. Nobody else is going to know until after we have our scan done though xx
