    Well good afternoon everyone.

I am really struggling to keep things down at the moment. I have the tatse in my mouth but it is stronger than before.

Went to the Dr. I know when I ovulated as I was tracking it so Vickyvics we are EDD twins. The Dr has said I must use that date until I have a scan. They won't send me for a scan, as its only reassuring for the time I am there and the Dr feels that my signs are a good indicator. So it will be a long wait!

My partner has suggested that he is happy to pay for a scan between 9-10 weeks which will be our anniversary. We are going to talk about it tonight.

Otherwise I am sorry for those of you who want some symtoms but don't have any; I guess any are a sign for you and if you don't know anything and there is no sign apart from a positive HPT then it is a bit unnerving.

Midwife booking in is the 3rd October - earlier than usual so I can discuss my worries and get my date for my 12 week scan.

Good luck Eiteews for your scan today :)

becs - honestly don't worry. Lots of people get zero sickness or almost no symptoms. I'm nearly 11 weeks now and apart from a little bit of tiredness, I've had virtually no symptoms and didn't have iun the previous pregnancy either. My poor friend on the other hand was vomitting before she's even pee'd on a stick! :rotfl: She was sick through her entire first pregnancy from virtually only 4 weeks gone and was even sick on the morning she gave birth!

Try to relax - I'm sure everything is just fine..... x

samotby - I see message of lots of gp's suggesting early scans and then never actually send the person for one. Most people just won't get one unless there appears to be worrying symptoms. Take comfort that your gp is not concerned about you at all. You're right though, it's a long wait! :)

  • Seconding Twigpig, I hated people who said this a few weeks ago as I was so worried but honestly I felt fine for most of the first 12 weeks. I had some nausea but it lasted about 2 weeks and was only when I got really hungry, I was never sick. My boobs only really hurt during the night and that stopped around week 10 (now keeps coming an going at 12+5). I was tired but not excessively so (probably feel more tired now) and I don't get up in the night for a wee! My main symptoms were vivid dreams and really bad skin. Had my 12 week scan last week and the little one was wriggling around all over the place!

Back and all ok :) was dancing away to start with but fell asleep by end.

Measured bang on dates (58.3mm) which confused me - expected to be put back. Nuchal fold was 1.2 the first measurement and 1.3 the second which the Internet seems to say is ok.

    Excited, scared, freaked out... Wow.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

laurabllue - now you mention it, I did have a crazy vivid dream the other night! I shall count this as my "symptom" for now ;)

Eiteews - wowee, many congrats on dancing bean! x

  • Congrats Eiteews :j

Becs - I'm the same as Twinpig, no real symtoms and I'm 11+3. There are small things but I wouldnt have noticed them if I didnt know I was PG.

Samtoby - Hope its a very quick 6 weeks

I am looking into booking an early reassurance scan for 8-9weeks and have come across BabyBond (http://www.ultrasound-direct.com/babybond-pregnancy-scans/) who are a national company but do have a centre in Notts.

Does anyone have any experience of them?

Should I notify the midwife I am going to do this or does that not matter?

You don't need to tell her unless you want. Mine told me the nhs ignore private scans when I told her it confirmed my late ovulation date.
