Hello ladies - after a flying visit in April/May I've just had a super feint BFP and I feel like I need to shout about it with someone. VERY early days and will re-test (probably several times :rotfl:) over the weekend. Went to bed the last couple of nights at 9pm and already been waking up for a middle of the night wee, ha! Fingers crossed for baby #2 x

My NHS scan picture is on a flimsy bit of paper - even my mum was abit miffed at the quality - esp when its £2 a photo. My private one was £2.50 each and it was placed in a card for safe keeping.
    :D:D:D

Our scans photos will be £5 each and it has to be taken to the hospital in £1 coins!

Whilst I was away I have some morning sickness - nothing too bad and only one actual occasion of vomiting but always carrying around that feeling of something being there ready to make a reappearance! Tend to find it's easiest fought by never allowing my stomach to be 100% empty so keeping healthy snacks/fruit/cereal bars nearby at all times now!

I was actually expecting whilst away though as apparently flying can increase symptoms and whilst I had had little, almost non-existent(!), symptoms before going I was expecting some whilst there :)

Other major symptoms at the minute (sorry for any TMI by the way!) are fatigue (bleurgh), constipation (:(), headaches, bloating and major breast tenderness and growth - honestly I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and I look like I've gone up a couple of cup sizes already - people are going to start guessing soon I'm sure!

Bf has now told his GB and home team coaches due to tournaments falling around the time baby is due and they were all very happy for us - although I'm his home team manager so not sure what the team will do without me for one of our domestic fixtures this year!

Can't believe I'm nine weeks tomorrow! It's hurtling past now so will soon be scan week then I can let myself relax and tell people.

Not sure on how to tell my boss though (the executive director not my direct line manager who already knows)!

Had my midwife appointment today. Didn't feel good this morning either. All was going well until she took blood and I was sick and passed out. I'm 6+5 and due date is 13th April. I'm going to be consultant led due to high bp and bmi. Just gotta wait for scan date
  • Had a confused call from someone at the hospital who was trying to book my scan appointment but the letter from my doctor confused her! The doctor gave an EDD of the 23rd April but unknown for my last period and she wanted to know how he was so sure. I told her he basically guessed. By his reckoning I'm currently 5 weeks. Guess I'll go with that for now but no idea how true that is.

Despite being unsure of dates, my scan is on the 8th October as they're short staffed so had to go by his dates as they can't fit me in any sooner anyway. Think I might go for a private scan when I'm back from holiday.

Currently in France and finding the no wine or goats cheese thing very difficult!

Congrats to MrsBunny and Becca, so glad you both had such positive scans :)

    Hi Ladies,
We had our scan yesterday, baby looks good and was wriggling loads. The bleeding area is still there but apparently is resolving- it isn't near my placenta which is good apparently. Due date of 26/2/14.
    Scans are £4 each here.
So I'm off to the other board. Good luck to all you lovely ladies and hope to see you all soon on the other thread.
    xx

    Hello Everyone, I'm baaaccckkk :)

I've just had my first night away from Frog!!! I was given a hotel night stay for my birthday so DH and went off to the Cotswolds leaving Frog with my sister. We had a lovely time mooching around Cirencester and then having a very leisurely lunch before heading off to Painswick.

Still got some nausea and even work up last night at 2am feeling awful and had to get a cracker to eat. I recall having to keep biscuits by the bed last time so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. The nausea is definitely worse this time though

Glad to hear lots of scans showed happy little bubba's :) hope you are all well too :) xx

So each day I basically long for 8pm as it means I can go to bed & get away from the nausea.

It's been cloudy here but humid today so i need windows opn and the next door door neighbours son has loud music on. His parents must be out as they're not noisy ever.

I feel so sick & just want to sleep and feel like crying. My scan is tomorrow so that's adding to my sick feeling & I'm just praying he turns it off soon. He's either doing that or smoking in his garden the exact moment I puke in the bathroom meaning I have to shut the window to stop the vile smell coming in, meaning I'm puking in a baking hot room.

Did I mention he also has a little girl he seems to scream at a lot? He is really not my favourite person!!

DH is coming home soon & I might tell him to go over & ask him to turn it down and just say I'm ill. When he was younger he had a house party that got out of control & his mate ripped a tree down in our front garden so his parents gave us the money for a new plant and made him dig the hole for it etc so I think he is a bit scared of us as I gave him a right telling off at the time!

I think he might be playing the Reading festival music.. It's only down the road wish he'd !!!! of down there!

When do people usually start to accept/feel pregnant ?
I'm gathering it wont be real for me til scan. Like I have some symptoms, I know that I am but I don't think reality has hit me... I also worry that things will go wrong :(

That's the same for many of us. I felt almost normal until 7+3 when I began to feel tired, hot and nauseous.

I was really excited when I got my bfp, then a week ir two later I got really worried and became convinced I had a missed miscarriage. The ladies here were vey reassuring. I waited until 9 weeks and had a private scan which really reassured me and meant I felt better telling my parents and sister.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

Maybe I am still shocked myself..

When I first found out at around 4 weeks I was really really tired and had to have naps all the time, I now feel sick if I don't eat in the mornings but haven't physically been sick yet. I'm now 8 weeks and don't have many symptoms other then weeing more and waking in the night to wee... won't get scan til 12-13 weeks so suppose it will feel more real then. I have told my family and my close friends but waiting til scan to tell anyone else, just hope the next few weeks fly in as I don't like waiting as it makes me anxious.

I've gone on a bit but don't really have anyone who understands, none of my friends have kids :( they listen and offer support but they haven't experienced it before.
