The burning sensation in the uretha is what makes this sound different kynthia. Pop a sample along to your docs to have it checked as soon as you can. :)

Kynthia I'd say it's a uti. I feel the need to go a lot, which I think is normal pg, but it doesn't burn xx

Feeling quite a bit if nausea this morning. Think it is nerves due to my lunchtime scan which is fast approaching. I couldn't wait for it to come around but now that its nearly here I feel sick thinking about it. _pale_

Thank you for your support and a lovely welcome.

Twig pig - we have the same EDD 20th April 2014 !!! Here's keeping fingers crossed that we both have something to celebrate then and welcome two little Taureans!

Faith hope - we went through all the testing and they found nothing. We were filed under the very irritating 'bad luck' category which isn't helpful at all. Good luck for scan today hope it all goes well.

Just trying to stay positive and ticking off the days on the calendar.

Squirrel - Just to correct TL. The 'qualifying' period for Maternity Allowance is 66 weeks before the start of the week your baby is due. So, as my baby is due 28th Dec, my qualifying period is something like 20th September 2012 - 22nd December 2013.

You need to have worked for 26 weeka during this period and earned atleast £30ish a week for a minimim of 13 weeks.

The only real difference between MA and SMP is that the first 6 weeks of SMP are paid at 90% of the usual wage - with MA the whole 39 weeks is paid at the same rate, whatever they calulate that to be. However, the entire of MA is discounted for tax credit purposes whereas only the first £100/week is disregarded if you claim SMP.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi to an newbies! :hello:

Hope it all works out well squ1rrel5

Glad you got your sickness back for reassurance Claire, hopefully its not as bad as it has been in the past though

I had to have a gp appointment when I found out Icey, they just filled out basic info referred me onto the MW and got me to sign the maternity exemption form. Still haven't heard from MW yet but hoping they arrange it soon as back to work in a couple of weeks

Hope your appointment goes as well as it can today TTC39 x

I've been feeling sick everyday for the past week (7 wks today :T ), and have tried everything to help it. Today I have made sure I had some dry biscuits next to the bed to eat as soon as I woke up which is helping so far. Have work this week for one morning (results day) so am hoping I can remain okay till then.

Like others though I now feel a little nervous that I don't feel sick, sore BBs are making up for it though :rotfl:

Becca - yes. I've had to dig out my maternity trousers from last time round. I don't really have a bump yet (maybe a small one), but my lower stomach has got so much harder that the waistband was really uncomfortable.

...and I've gone up a knickers size :P

  • Good luck today Faith, hope all goes well x

Does anyone know how long it should take to receive the exemption certificate? I filled it in two weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Not really been impressed with my doctors at all really, they didn't give me any information at all.

Nothing really to report here, except that my boobs hurt so much last night the pain woke me up! I can't sleep in a bra but feel as though I need some support at night.

Off on holiday on Thursday so looking forward to a break from work and catching up on more sleep!

Funny as I just found a hard area just below my knicker line last night. :)
