That's great Claire, at least it will give you that reassurance. I think sometimes it's hard not to think the worst, especially with what you've been through. I had my scan at 8+5 and it did reassure me, although I'm still whittling now xxxxFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140

Congrats Kynthia & MrsBunny, I'm so pleased for you both. :j Can't wait till my scan on Wednesday now!
Had a little scare yesterday - popped to the loo and I had a bit of blood. I rang the midwife and she said not to worry as it was a very small amount and I don't have any pain or anything. Bizarrely, if it'd happened today I'd had to have gone in to have an anti D injection as I'm 12 weeks today and rhesus negative. I'm surprised they were being so exact about it! I'm on constant knicker watch now but I've not had any more so I'm trying not to worry.
Really have a thing for biscuits at the moment. I've bought a big cake sized Tupperware and filled it full of Jaffa cakes, club biscuits, oreos, kit Kat's, rocky bars and jammy dodgers. Stuck a few in my handbag too in case I get a craving while I'm out! Haven't put much weight on yet but this is not looking good for me is it - I'm going to have to try and show some restraint! :rotfl:0 -
Evening,
Well today I have done nothing!! still grinning like a Cheshire cat from my scan yesterday. I also feel like I have a bump today but because I am a size 16 anyway, it looks like im 6 months pregnant already!!!!
Going to have to start shopping for more clothes as most things are tight now but I have no money till DH gets paid next week.
Hopefully I have an uneventful week in work this week, really can not be bothered going in tomorrow! Midwife on Wednesday to look forward too.

Feeling really grotty today, although OH is too so it's possible it's a lurgy rather than hormones :P
Have had a slight headache for the last two days - possibly caffiene withdrawal since I've gone off tea now. Feeling very tired and slightly nauseous too - early night for me tonight!Mortgage when started: £330,995

Had a crappy feeling weekend, will not moan though this baby is so worth it.
Watched an American OBEM earlier and there was a couple on there who had been trying for 13 years, all treatments failed, and they were adopting newborn twins. Sobbed all the way through!!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Fab scan picture
I'm really tempted to book an early one now!
If I hadn't had a BFP on Monday I'd have had no idea I was pregnant. Apart from feeling bloated (which happens occasionally anyway) my boobs are only feeling a bit tender and I'm not sure if the nausea is something I'm almost imagining. I kind of wish I had some real symptoms as it'd be more reassuring I think (will probably regret saying that!)
We're on holiday with the inalws in a couple of weeks and I don't really want to tell them (I don't plan on telling my parents either if I can get away with it). But there'll be loads of wine and cheese etc and I'm not sure what I can say. I going to go down the antibiotics route but usually would be tucking into loads of Stilton and soft cheese. Any advice for an excuse as to why I'm avoiding it?! I'm hoping if they do guess they'll realise I want to keep it quiet so wont ask me outright...0 -
Laura you can still have Stilton:

Feeling quite crampy tonight
. Hoping it's just everything stretching out rather than anything more sinister. Can't help but be on constant knicker watch though, as Claire says, it's easy to think the worst.

Oooh how did I miss that bit when I read through the website. We'll be in France so could maybe get away with it if I just make sure there's some really nice Stilton and some type of hard cheese then hopefully people won't notice what I'm avoiding. Thanks Becca! It'll be hard enough not drinking without raising suspicion, never mind avoiding the cheeseboard as well!0 -
Hello everyone :j
Long time lurker on mse in general and was on this board in April pregnant with my 2nd baby, unfortunately I miscarried at the end of April. I am now pregnant again and feeling much more positive about things so fingers crossed everything goes ok.going by my last period dr is dating me as 8+2 although I think I'm about 6+2. I've booked a private scan for 15th August when hopefully ill be 8 weeks and able to see a heartbeat. Apparently if a heartbeat is seen at this stage then there's a 98% chance of pregnancy progressing.
Just wanted to introduce myself, hope everyone's well xxx0
