When do we usually get an exemption certificate? x

My doctor completed the form when I went at about 5 weeks and it took about 2 weeks to come.

You can ask your GP for the FW8 form (this is the exemption application form), your midwife could supply it too. Takes about 2 min (tops) to complete. I was given mine at 5 weeks so must be available early on.

    Morning all,

5+6 today. My midwife appointment is one week today! Just today and three more days next week at work Until I'm on annual leave :-)

Can not get cool this morning, really don't want to dress for work because I know I will feel like I'm melting. Also, has anyone else's skin changed. Mine has gone from beautifully clear and smooth to rough and breaking out. I have spots, only small ones mind, on my chin, nose, forehead, brow and across the bridge of my nose :-(

Also feeling rather bloated. I keep waiting for some morning sickness but no signs yet, Going to need a maternity bra very soon though - feel like I'm falling out of my normal ones!

My little belly has gone from squidey to a bit firmer inside too.

Well had better finish getting ready for work!

    Morning all

well I had the headache to end all headaches yesterday, I have no idea how I manage to work all day! ended up going home an hour early from work yesterday. I suffered from headaches before I was pregnant but yesterdays was the worse one ever!! It went about 10pm woke up at 6am this morning and it was here again :( manage to drift back off to sleep and (I hope) it has now gone so I can enjoy my Friday in work and then the weekend :D:D

Looking forward to my scan tomorrow, though very very nervous. Also you need a full bladder....oh my, how am I not going to wet myself! :rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't got my medical exempt certificate yet, but saying that I do not see the midwife till next week. Does this also cover dental? I've had my reminder letter through to book an appointment and don't want to pay if I don't have to!

Well better get showered and dress and head to work. x x x

Seems like everyone is feeling rather rough at the moment. Hugs to everyone.

I was of course sick again a couple of times after going to bed making it 11 times in a 24 hour period which I just feel like I can't cope with so I've got the dr calling me back this morning & I'm hoping I can get a prescription for something over the phone. The tricks of eating certain things etc just aren't working its like my body is going to be ill whatever I do!

Just lying in bed now trying to eat a biscuit. I'm almost to scared to move I just know it will come back up again.

Before I got that exemption form to fill in at the booking appt which was at 8 weeks. Sounds like a nice guy squirrel don't panic about it you were only doing as you were told!

Mrs bunny yes when you're pregnant you get free dental but only if you're nhs.

On a good note I'm 6 weeks today!

Marbaha - I filled in my form for the maternity exemption certificate at my midwife appointment (8 weeks) but it hasn't come yet (a week later)

Claire - hope the Dr is helpful. Congrats on 6 weeks :D xx

I'm really worried this morning. All my symptoms have gone, I don't feel sick, not particularly tired, head feels fine and my bump has gone down. Why is this all so worrying????

Becca - your bump will be smaller in the morning than in the evening, especially if you have empty bladder, your muscles are tired in the evening so don't keep everything held in as well as they do in the morning. i spent pretty much all of the first trimester worrying in the morning about the lack of bump and then being reassured in the evening once it had grown again.
I'm sure your symptoms will be back in full force and/or worse tomorrow :)
It's so worrying because you love your baby x

becca - am 8 + 1 and I too have noticed my symptoms are much milder than they have been, don't know if I should be glad or worried!

A quick google shows that its not all that uncommon as the placenta takes over symptoms can disappear.
