I can relate, I feel normal at the moment and thought after seeing the bfp I would feel somewhat different (apart from relieved/excited). Had really achy BBs but even they seem better today!
So glad it's not just me! It all still feels completely surreal at the moment. Just did another clear blue as the one on Wednesday night was after drinking loads of juice so I'm not sure if it would have been completely accurate. This time I got 2-3 weeks which is good, so I'm thinking my scan date will be towards the end of September? Should go pretty fast as we have a ten day holiday between now and then and work will be busy too.

Trying to relax and not keep thinking about everything that can go wrong-it's so hard to find a balance I think.

Becca, that's a cute little bump!

MrsBunny we are due the same day and I'm relieved to hear you say you've suddenly felt fine. I have too and I was starting to worry, particularly in light of my last miscarriage and poor sam's recent news. I told DH I was worried because I wasn't feeling sickly any more and he replied that my other symptoms ie mood swings were still VERY apparent. I think the word psycho was mentionned :o.

I'm just about still fitting in to my loosest clothing but struggling with the tighter stuff. I need to wear my work trousers undone!

oooh excellent due date buddies! yes I am feeling very nervous now after sams awful news yesterday, that is what made me book the private scan as I reckon it will be 13-14 weeks before I get a nhs one as I don't see the midwife till next week then prob take a couple of weeks for an appointment to come through etc.

I am feeling very tired now so I am going to go to bed....DH is on nights so I get to sleep in the middle and stretch out!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!
  • Lucky you with the bed all to yourself! I'm still constantly exhausted but have convinced myself that's because I've had 3 bad nights with DS2 and his broken arm :(. I still have sore boobies too though.

Fingers crossed for your scan Xx

MrsBunny - I've booked a private scan this Saturday too. I'm really nervous.

Becca - I don't have a bump yet but my trousers are tighter. I've just today dug out trousers that were too big for me last month. I'm tempted to buy maternity clothes but part of me wants to wait until my scan.

Maybe_it's_because - I want some jeggings, they sound much better than jeans!

AFM - I've got my scan date now, it's on 2nd September and I'll be 13+3. I'm pleased, but worried that if anything is wrong I'll miss my holiday which starts two days later. I'm also peeved that it's come in my maiden name even though I changed my name at the surgery well over a year ago, I'm pretty sure I got a new NHS medical card too, plus I also told the midwife my name when I self referred myself.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

My scan date just came through today as well - 13th Sept. I'll be 13 weeks exactly.

    Morning sickness my ar£&.

I woke up at 12,1.30 & 2am to throw up. And then around 6.30.

That's gonna be great tonight when it's been 30c all day & the house is boiling hot.

So sorry to hear your news sam :( I cant imagine how heartbroken you must be. Please take care of yourself. xx

that's a neat little bump becca! :) I'm feeling a bit podgy! Had put a few lbs on when we were on holiday, and didn't get chance to loose any when we got back! I'm now just trying to be healthy.
Definitely need some new work trousers, might have to check out the maternity ones that can be adjusted easily. Been able to get away with my roomy dresses and linen trousers in this hot weather.

oh claire, that doesn't sound good! its supposed to be morning sickness, not all night sickness!

well, I think my nausea has started this morning. Didn't really want any breakfast but managed a couple of dry crackers.
Really hope I don't take after my mum, she was sick the whole way through her pregnancy with my brother!

Looking forward to seeing the midwife on Monday, hopefully she'll be able to book my scan then, or at least set the wheel in motion.

  • That's not good Claire. How far along are you?

Hopefully your morning sickness is not too bad sjlou. Sounds like your mum was unlucky with her sickness

    Love the little bump becca

Sounds like there are a lot of scans coming up! Keeping my fingers crossed they all go well.

AFM - Saw the Dr today who was so uninterested and was adamant that cycle lengths were 28 days etc. He also asked me whether i booked my 1st antenatal appointment which he never even mentioned on the phone. So that's all booked for just over 2 weeks time. At least it's on my records now. Funny how my sickness went as soon as I left the Drs :)

I think symptoms may be kicking in a bit now. I was really restless last night as I was so hot (I'm always cold so that's pretty unusual for me). Now I'm feeling queasy. Not actually sick, but more like travel sickness where my stomach feels wobbly. Not sure if its just psychological now that I know I'm pregnant though!

Sorry your drs appointment didn't go better Faith! At least you have something else booked now. I really expected our doctors to have some info on their website about what to do. I couldn't discuss it on the phone as I was at work so just booked in with a doctor and hopefully I'll find out more then.

I was very queasy this morning, ate cereal at 7.45am and then just now realised that I was feeling quite ill again, just had a sandwich and bought a big packet of ginger biscuits to nibble on!
