I had a big swollen belly before I was pg, I'd always had a flat stomach, the one thing I was proud of lol and now it's all blown up! I'm having to wear loose tunic tops and a pashmina over everything to hide the belly!

I'm eating every 2 hours, don't know if that's just me being greedy.

I read that and thought you were owning up to having Simon Cowell's baby there :rotfl:

Good to eat every few hours. Little and often. That's one of the only things keeping my nausea under control.

Shh don't tell about our secret affair!!

I think my baby and Simon's baby are going to have very different lifestyles!

I've been writing down what I eat and every 2 hrs have to get the notepad out!

I feel a bit nauseous right now. Trying to get all my accounts done by the end of today and just want to linger in the loos!

Sam, so sorry to hear your news, look after yourself. xxx

Becca, I'm the same - scary how quickly I've expanded. I think if you don't know me I don't look particular big or pregnant but if you do then you know I've been the same size forever and would definitely notice the increase (the first thing my mum said to me when we told her was 'I thought you'd gained a lot of weight')! Will be a relief to tell people at work in that respect.

I'm now the proud owner of some size 6 M&P maternity jeans which are incredibly comfy and at £9 a bargain! Between those and some size 10 work trousers courtesy of my sister I'm just about surviving!

    Hi all

Not bought any maternity clothing yet....my trousers and skirts are being held up with a bobble now!! I do not think I have a 'bump' yet, I had a spare tyre anyway as size 16 but it defo feels harder rather than flabby.

Book a private early scan today its 4pm on Saturday.....we are both excited but nervous as today I have felt fine all day, quite chirpy and 'fresh'. Last few weeks I have felt like ive been sleepwalking all through work!

Looking forward to tell all my work friends in a few weeks, I will be 12 weeks on the day my other friend at work leaves to go on maternity so I am waiting till she's gone as I don't want to take all the attention that is currently on her.

Somebody come and give me a clip round the back of the head - can not stop working myself up thinking that something isn't right. Need to work out how to calm myself a bit. I'm excited to see the midwife next week so hopefully after that I will be fine but...grr silly mind working over time

  • MrsBunny we are due the same day and I'm relieved to hear you say you've suddenly felt fine. I have too and I was starting to worry, particularly in light of my last miscarriage and poor sam's recent news. I told DH I was worried because I wasn't feeling sickly any more and he replied that my other symptoms ie mood swings were still VERY apparent. I think the word psycho was mentionned :o.

I'm just about still fitting in to my loosest clothing but struggling with the tighter stuff. I need to wear my work trousers undone!

I know how you feel lushlifesaver, but what will be will be, let's wait until there's a real problem before we worry (easy to say and hope it never happens for any of us), I'm waiting for my scan date and then do I take hubby with me, I don't want him to be there for bad news, I'm more protective of him than I let him be of me!

Wish I could stop being so negative and worrying too!

I'm still at work, very tired and eyes are crossing!

Becca I love your bump! I cant wait to have one - I have a tummy anyway but itll be good to have an excuse this time!! I keep stroking my belly at the moment - I just hope people havent noticed me doing it that dont know yet!

Sam, so sorry to hear your news - take care of yourself

I'm suffering quite badly with evening sickness - its got much worse this week. Feeling generally okay until late afternoon/early evening and then the nausea hits so bad. This week I started wretching (TMI sorry!) although wasnt bringing anything up and tonight I actually vomited for the first time - I guess I've probably got more to come!!

Oh, and I got the date for my 12 week scan - 3rd September. Need to think of an excuse to have a couple of hours off work on that day now - have exhausted most things already!!! :rotfl:
