So sorry Sam, thinking of you x

I feel quite normal and that worries me a bit. Hoping its just because its really early, and it'll all hit me soon. Although OH has said my nipples look different(?!) random I know! My trousers feel really right too.

I couldn't get a drs appointment till next Wednesday so I'm planning on doing another clear blue on Saturday to see what it says (if I can be that patient). I'm sat at work but can't stop thinking about it at the moment...I think it's worse because you can't talk about it. I've told one friend, she's currently 8 months pregnant so completely gets how I'm feeling at the moment so it's nice to have someone to fire questions at until I can get to the doctors!

I can relate, I feel normal at the moment and thought after seeing the bfp I would feel somewhat different (apart from relieved/excited). Had really achy BBs but even they seem better today!

I phoned the Drs yesterday and spoke to a really unhelpful lady who demanded to know why I wanted an appointment. After i told her she refused me one and then said the Dr would call me back, when he finally did he was very unhelpful and just told me to take folic acid and stop b6. No mention of what's the next step. Still confused, do I make an appointment at 8 weeks with MW or try again in a couple of days when hopefully a better receptionist is around?

I'd just calculate from one of the online due date calculator.

My jeans started to get tighter a few weeks ago but I've been ok until this weekend. They were then digging in and really uncomfy.
    Maternity jeans are soooo comfy!!!

When I found out I was pregnant I made an appointment and they weren't very helpful anyway. The doctor said congrats and then took my blood pressure and gave me a big envelope full of leaflets on blood test and other bumph as well as a big think booklet I had to fill in with a telephone number to ring to book my 10 week scan at the hospital. No urine or blood test or anything else to confirm I was pregnant. This was the same with my first pregnancy.

I then rang the hospital and booked the scan- it's a long time to wait when you've pretty sure you're pregnant, but thinking it could be your body playing tricks on you. I did think it was a little odd as I could have gone to the hospital and it wasn't a baby.

We don't see a midwife until 17 weeks. Sorry this doesn't really make you feel better, but just wanted to tell you what my experience has been.

As this is my second I saw the midwife at 17 weeks, had my 2nd scan at 20 weeks and now won't be seeing anyone until 28 weeks which is the end of Aug for me. The midwife told me I didn't really need any more antenatal classes as my 1st was born March 2012 so I pretty much should still know it all. I haven't had a lot of support or medical checks with this one, but luckily so far it hasn't been problematic apart from the psorasis, hayfever, thrush and sciatica!!!

Just count from the first day of your last period.

Or if you know when you ovulated that day will be 2 weeks.

So if you found out around 14dpo you're then 4 weeks.

Thanks Lola! Congratulations by the way. Not long till your next scan :) It's such a strange time as I've never been pregnant before and only finding out things online. After reading your post I thought I would have another go (so at least it's on their records) and managed to get an appointment for tomorrow..with the same rubbish doctor. Hmm. Well at least it will be a little step forward. It would be nice to just have it acknowledged.

last period was 25th june. and ovulated 9th july.

but as i say apps and websites some saying 4 week, some 5 week, some 6.. very confusing..
