I know it isn't that clear......
I am really pleased with the scan I have just had they took the time and were very kind. The Sonographer couldn't find anything on an external scan so I had to have an internal (like a probe). I have a retroverted uterus and she said mine is especially tilted back.
Baby is fine - she was able to take a scan of the heart beat which she said was strong.
I still have a bleed next to the pregnancy and this is actually larger now  but she said its old blood and because it had lines in it (I couldn't see them) it meant it was dispersing.
I was dated 8+3 and then she re measured at a different angle and said 9 so she said my dates are right but at 12 weeks I will get my final EDD.
So I will take the 9 until the 12 week scan.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I am very sorry to hear your news today firey.
what a lovely scan pic samtoby, im very green eyed monster of other peoples scans at the moment! My time will come, just have to wait.
Well my little bud is 6 weeks today :T
Does anyone get car sickness? for the last two weeks on my way to and from work (longest journey during the week) I get really car sick, have had to pull over a couple of times but so far have not been sick. Most of the 45 minute journey is on country roads but today I tried a different way on main roads but still felt sick.
Except for drinking glass after glass of water, tiredness and some cramps I have had no other symptoms so far.
love to all xxxProud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Need a but if advice about my scan. When I spoke to the doc and hospital I told them I'm almost 8 weeks. I was so worried about the discharge I wasn't really explaining myself very well. The almost 8 weeks was going by my last period not ovulating date.
The first day of my last period was May 11th. Going by a rough estimate I would have ovulated between the 22nd and 27th May so say it was the 27th at the latest I'm only going to be 5+4 when I have my scan tomorrow.
Isn't that too early for a heartbeat? If so does anyone know how else they can determine everything's ok? Or am I gonna to put up with this unknown for another couple of weeks at least?
I'm just so worried.0 -
I'm 5+4 tomorrow & my last period started on 27th may. They'll go by your lmp date so it sounds like you'll be around 7 weeks xFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140

Hi Cherry, your pregnancy is dated by your last period date so you are between 7 - 8 weeks at the moment. You are two weeks pregnant before you've even fertilised an egg, which is confusing!! Hopefully you should be able to see a heartbeat as it tends to be visible from around 6 or 7 weeks, very best wishes for tomorrow xxx
ETA: And if you have very long and/or irregular cycles you tend to add on two weeks to the date you know you ov'd, in your case say 27th May which was 5 weeks, 4 days ago, making you 7+4 by this method . This is because dating a pregnancy from your LMP is only accurate if you have 28 day cycles with a 14 day leuteal phase... pretty uncommon!0 -

Thank you both.
I hope I'm understand this right. When they say the heartbeat is usually detectable from 6 weeks that's 6 weeks from your last period. Not 6 weeks from a guesstimate ovulation date? So my almost 8 weeks should be fine?0 -
