    Welccome Pippa

Birdie - Great you're all booked in. I've got mine in a couple of weeks.

firey - good luck for your scan. Hope it puts your mind at rest :)

HungryKitty - glad your stomach pain is nothing to worry about. I've had a little bit of cramping - think it's because (TMI alert) I'm a bit constipated. I know iron tablets only make it worse but too para to stop my pregnacare. Will just have to drink more.

Becca - Think BZ and lilymay are right in that cramps are normal. Hope you can try not to worry :o (easy to say)

Cherrybomb - Fingers crossed everything is okay for you. It could be something or it could be nothing. I think the system should be that you get scans straight away to put your mind at rest. Big hugs.

Samtoby - I was told that it is very common for women to have a bleed above/behind the pregnancy and most of them don't even know it because it doesn't always cause bleeding externally. Most just disappear over the early weeks of pregnancy. Hope everything is ok today for you.

MrsBunny - It's annoying how laid back medical staff are. They're like yeah yeah we'll get your appointment sometime. You're like but I'm pregnant!!!! This is important!!!

Lara and Kynthia - I'm slightly worried about how life will change cos I'll have a toddler and a baby to look after at the same time. In terms of change from having none to having one it's the little things that you don't really think about e.g. the baby is screaming for food and you're desperate for a pee or you have a toddler who wakes up at 6am, DH goes out to work early and you're left wondering how you're going to get a shower. But yes it is worth it - I say that as I have just finished cleaning up the second big load from the nappy this morning :rotfl:

I'm a bit worried about how much life will change too. We're ready for it in one sense as we feel like we're over the going out getting drunk with friends stuff and we've had plenty of time together doing nice things so we don't feel like we're missing out on anything but we're the first of our group to have a baby and I'm worried that they'll pull away from us and we'll end up feeling quite abandoned because we dared break up the group by introducing a tiny party killer! :o I really hope it goes the other way and that they all love Junior so much they can't stay away! :)

Morning everyone. Its not even lunchtime yet. I am struggling to see how to hurry up the day.

I have woken up with a massive spot on my chin - not had a big whitehead spot for years. Excellent. LOL.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I have had cramps pretty much since I found out. I think its normal - but hey what is normal in pregnancy though.

I am going to do some cooking and cleaning today so hopefully day will go a bit quicker.

Bit disapointed that my OH won't be coming today, I kind of need him to hold my hand but he has been packing in the overtime as he is in the Boat industry so overtime only really in the summer. See him loads in the winter and baby is due in February. :o

thanks so much for everybody's wishes. I had my scan today and there was nothing there. in a weird way and I feel horrible for saying it, it's a weight lifted off my shoulders. bleeding heavily for 5 days nut still not really knowing was the worst feeling ever. iv cried and howled every day this week so to finally know for sure is something. the doctor was lovely and so reassuring and made me feel a tiny bit more positive about it. i was 6 weeks.

the very best of luck to all the other lovely ladies in this thread and I hope I'll be back here to join again sometime this year x

So sorry to hear your news firey and i understand what you mean about the weight lifting, it's horrible being stuck in limbo and once you know the answer you know what you're dealing with and can get on with grieving and getting better

Good luck for later on today samtoby

AFM going to go to the doctors tomorrow morning if my boss agrees to let me have it as flexi- was off monday tuesday with a migraine and tbh i haven't complete got rid of it. staring at a screen makes it worse and that's 90% of my job. forced myself back to work yesterday as i had a day of appeals so very important and no screens involved, but we started at 9.15 and finished at 6 and i had 15 minute break so don't think that helped at all.
so hopefully, if i get the time off, doctor can say what i can take for it/make it better as usually i'd take ibuprofen lysine which wouldn't do much good but some good, parcetamol doesn't touch it x

Hi girls can I join please, I found out I was pregnant on Sunday after our 2nd donor IUI in Denmark. I was 4 weeks on Monday, it still isn't sinking in even though it has long been planned and wanted!!!! Dying to tell people but I know have to wait :( we've decided to pay for a early scan at just under 7 weeks. Mainly because I know IUI increases your chance of ectopic pregnancy and there is a possibility of twins as I had 2 eggs at the time of the treatment :O I feel like I should be prepared as I have a DD of 9 but to be honest that was just a long time ago I think I've forgotten everything and I guess it will be a lot different this time as before I only had her to deal with
