Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3

I'm feeling super-neurotic... I wish I could shake the blues, but it just feels like I've been waiting forever to get to 12 weeks!
I think our miscarriage is still weighing on my mind a lot of the time too and I've had some poignant reminders recently - would have been my first EDD mid last month, plus I met a close friend's newborn on the weekend. So somehow despite there being no real reason to feel pessimistic I just worry about this little one all the time... I'm super-exhausted too, that doesn't help... boo...
Thinking of you all and your worries, hope they are nothing to worry about after all xxx
it makes no difference how many healthy babies you have after a miscarriage you expect the worst until it is in your arms safe and squalling.. I'm on pregnancy 18 with 7 losses and I still an convinced they won't arrive safely. I still spend the first.. ooh... 9 months fretting about losing the baby.
Having had a loss does have an effect on how you deal with future pregnancies. I found it incredibly hard to buy the baby stuff we needed for DD1 after 2 losses and then losing her twin.
Your feelings are perfectly normal!
I was absolutely convinced we were in for a miscarriage this time because I have never done 3 pregnancies in a row without at least 1 loss in between.. If it wasn't this for us to be flapping about though we would only find something else..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks for the sick bag tip Kynthia. Is it wrong that I know I'll want to be sick so I can see how well they work?!
Lovely scan pic zippy :-)
I went to the doctors earlier and we agreed my stomach pain is probably from the change in diet. I've been eating as healthy as I can and I've also massively ramped up my dairy intake. My mum got osteoporosis in her 40's so I need to make sure baby gets enough from my diet and doesn't raid my stores!0 -
I'm going to test again tomorrow with digi to (hopefully!) see it go up to 3+ weeks
Midwife rearranged for end of July. Have a huge aversion to chocolate today!
Birdie not long until your holiday! You're going with friends aren't you?First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Yep Becca, we're going with friends.
I feel a little awkward though as they're also TTC (not as long as we were, coming up to a year), she's got PCOS and having a rotten time of it. I know that they're happy for us as they know how long we were struggling but I also know that I'd be a little upset if the tables were turned so I'm aware that she'll probably be feeling a little gutted about us not being either barren together or PG together on holiday.
I'm just going to have to make a point of *not* making a point of my pregancy the whole time!
Got my booking in appointment at 10.30.I'm a bit concerned by how normal I feel today though, haven't felt a little bit iffy since yesterday morning. Is it strange that I want to feel sick at least 3 times a day?!

Yeah that will probably be the most sensitive thing to do. Do they know?
How did your appointment go?
This is what I wanted to see today!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Becca - love the pic. I might hold off for a while a keep my last digi for an emergency.
Birdie - where are you going?
AFM I still don't have symptoms, although my breasts are slightly tender and I still feel cramping which I don't like. Is backache a symptom or just the result of my new bra?Speaking of which, has anyone been told to wear non-wired bras?
Off to yoga later so hopefully that will help my back.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Ah, lovely Becca! :T
Booking in went well although it took much longer than I expected, about an hour and a half! Loads of forms to fill in but now I've got my notes to take with me everywhere (don't they know that I lose important stuff like this? Really not a good idea to trust me with it all!) so I feel like I'm getting somewhere now.
Made my hospital choice and was told to expect an appintment for a scan in the next couple of weeks.
Kynthia, we're going to the Dominican Republic. Not ideal sitting on a plane for 9 hours when I'm pregnant but was fully expecting to *not* have gotten lucky when we booked it and we took the chance!I'll be around 17 weeks when we go which seems like a good time since I shuld be feeling good and looking pregnant, not just fat!
We have told the friends we're going with about the baby, told them a few weeks ago as we wanted them to have as long as possible to get their heads around it. I just really hope she gets PG soon so we can both be sober miseries and get excited about our bumps' first holiday!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Yay Birdie and Star for hospital progress
Kynthia, I'm the same - just cramping and sore boobs. I'm hoping not to get any other symptoms!!!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Kynthia I think wired bras are fine until later in the pregnancy then they can cause problems for your milk ductsJust take each day as it comes.
