Lilmissmup - Very sorry to hear your news:(. Be kind to yourself.

Oh dear, sorry to hear you were sick during your nice anniversary meal Lily! :(

I feel remarkably well... which is of course worrying me as I've now got no symptoms other than being a little more tired than usual. :o I never thought I'd be so desperate to feel sick! :p

I'm going to *try* to not think about the sex of the baby too much. We're determined that we're cool with not finding out and if I start to get feelings one way or another I'm going to drive myself mad! May even end up sneaking in a private scan without OH knowing closer to the due date just so I can find out but pretend I'm still clueless! :p Oooh but the Chinese Gender Predictor says girl! :)

  • i don't want to find out the sex this time. I found out last time the time before was a surprise. I think this baby will be my last :( I think it will be nice that at birth I get to look myself :)
Just take each day as it comes. :)

Sorry to hear the bad news from LMU, lots of hugs :(

I'm 12 weeks today, I feel so excited ahead of the dating scan on Monday :j:j:j.

Welcome to all the newbies, it's getting busy in here. I guess I'll have to think about moving to the next thread. Am I supposed to go to the 12-24 week one or the Pregancy one?

Lily - I think probably this will be our last. I'm 40 now so think maybe I might be pushing my luck trying to have another!

OH did say when we found out it was a girl 'well that means if we have another, it won't matter if its a boy or girl as we'll have one of each already!'...I fixed him with 'a look'!

Having said that, I never say never. We'll see how we go with 2. We need to move really as we are in a 3 bed maisonette currently, and I want a house but London prices are just eye watering at the moment.

Glad to see all is going well with you. I am lurking :) x

Star - good news on the sickness.

I dramatically am heading the sickness direction. I am 6 weeks and I have a terrible taste in my mouth no matter what - like I have been sucking on a penny. Tea doesn't taste nice now and today I have been starving all day but feeling sick - although I have eaten....has anyone got a funny taste in their mouth like metalic?

That's a really common symptom Sam, although I hope the nausea doesn't become too much :o

It's lovely that you'll have one of each MV... although maybe you'll surprise us with a third ;) 40 is the new 30 after all!

I'm 12 weeks today as well misscoupon and feeling very excited / strangely nervous about the scan next week. Is your OH going with you? DH decided to take the whole day off work because he thought I would think he was stupid if he asked how long it would take... he thought it might be an all day event! :rotfl:

Star - I think finding out for yourself sounds lovely, I just don't have the patience :D Hope you're feeling okay.

Firefly - The 1st trimester tiredness strikes again! Take care of yourself :grouphug:

Lily - I think I'm almost as excited to find out your baby's gender as my own! Are you going to share when you find out or keep it a total secret until birth?

AFM, I had 24 hours without keeping anything down again, but have just managed a glass of apple juice and a cup of (decaf) sweet tea in the last hour so hopefully things are improving :o I just feel so drained and emotional at the moment - DH has done something monumentally stupid and I've spent most of the evening crying (probably didn't help the dehydration). I've now developed a nice headache to round things off - I'm a miseryguts :o

Oh no Amy, you must be feeling so rotten. Hope you keep these fluids down!

I will of course share gender with you lot, but I am undecided about telling family. I am still debating about whether or not to book an secret scan and not even tell OH! Hehehe

    You're such a rebel Lily!

I was wrong about the fluids unfortunately and have just come back from spending the best part of 4 hours on maternity assessment. I was given an injection of cyclizine and feel a bit better, and have a new prescription to collect tomorrow - hopefully this will do the trick :o

I'm hungry enough to eat everything in the house now I feel a bit less nauseated :rotfl:
