Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3

Good morning all!!

Congrats to misscoupon and amyloofoo for getting to 12 weeks... seems an age away for me at 7 and half ish weeks, never wanted the weeks to go so fast. This week has really dragged for me, thank god today is my Friday :j

I've started to get a sore boob... my left one is ok but my right one is giving me jip, but I cant quite tell exaclty where the pain is...

As for gender, I think I will be having a girl, I already have DD but I dont think we will be having a boy and i dont think we will be having anymore after no 2. I can just about cope with one, I have no idea how I'm going to manage with 2... (under 2 as well) :rotfl: The chinese predictor says girl but I know my due date is going to move forward - and until I have my scan I dont know what that is going to be

Oh dear Amy, hope you're feeling better this morning! How funny is your OH taking the whole day off for the scan! Bless him!

With the Chinese gender predictor thingy it is determined I'm having a girl. I put in date of conception (luckily I know that as we only DTD once over OV! ), the due date that I figured out (since I OV late in my cycle) and the due date given to me by the midwife with her magic circle. Hmmm.... I wonder if I'll be disappointed if it's a boy after all that!

Totally jealous of you ladies having reached the 12 week mark! Wishing my time away over here... even just to get to 7 weeks so I can go for an early scan and see *something* then I may relax a little!

Birdie - Will you be 7 weeks by your dates or the the midwife when you go for your scan? I only ask as if you are too early they won't see anything it may not help with you panicking!

Goppers - You'll be fine. Everyone always manages My DS will be 25 months when this one arrives. I only wish they could have been closer in age

Amy - That is so rubbish that you ended up in hospital again. I hope the new script does some good for you.

I'm trying to go by the dates I've had on scans so far so I'm 11+4 today. I'm a bit worried about what official date the scan will give me on Tuesday. I really hope its in 2013. I know that sounds stupid and I have tried to explain it to OH too, but the 2013/2014 thing is such a mental block for me. Atm EDD is 29th Dec and I so hope it doesn't change. Thing is, it doesn't make any difference anyway because baby will be born at 37 weeks regardless and that will definitely be in 2013! Silly woman. My brain is so irrational.

Hope everyone else is feeling okay. Time is dragging for me atm.

I haven't actually got anything booked yet, just thinking right now that I'll go mad if I have to wait the full 12 weeks before knowing that there's definitely a baby in there! If I do have a scan it'll be when I'm 7 weeks + by *my* dates.

Birdie - if you don't get an early scan through the NHS you might be able to go private? I know you have to pay and can understand for some that isn't possible but worth a thought if you hadn't already.

Amy - a whole day off for you scan ah that is lovely. I think my partner knows nothing about the process. Hope you are feeling better.


A lady at work is 15 weeks and I know it sounds wierd but I feel so odd knowing I am pregnant and that no one knows! I don't know when I will let people know. I am so nervous and the 12 week point seems right for me. It just seems so long away!
Her daughter has asked her how the baby comes out and asked if there was a door. Lol. Kinda?!

P.S I would like to think I could be patient and not find out the sex, but I know I will want to know - it will just be whether I share it with friends or family. Not sure......long way to go yet though.

Amyloofoo - It's exciting, isn't it? I'm very nervous too. I have crazy fears that my 'padding' will get in the way and the sonographer won't be able to see a thing
Yes, husband is coming with me. It actually said on the letter that it should take no longer than half an hour so he just took the afternoon off.

Who mentioned the Chinese gender predictor? It says Boy... We're definitely Team Yellow though.

It took about five phone calls to find the right people at the hospital, but I got an early scan booked for Wednesday afternoon. Think I'll be about 9 weeks at that point. I'm sure I'll be so nervous as last time round it was a scan that was the first indicator of miscarriange. But if all is well as I hope it is, the scan will make me feel so much more positive about this pregnancy
