Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3

Happy anniversary Lily! The scan photos are great, mine won't be until August, it's seems miles away.

I rang the drs today to get the ball rolling, I didn't even need to come in for an appointment. She just asked if it was a happy pregnancy then congratulated me when I told her it was. Asked if I had any questions, confirmed my due date and then said the midwife will be in touch soon. I was expecting to go in for an appointment and thought they'd want me to do another pregnancy test and have bloods done etc. Bit of an anti-climax but it feels a little bit more real now my GP knows.

We've only told our mum's so far. My MIL keeps texting to say she's seen some good baby offers. I think she's getting excited!! I've asked her to hold off on buying things yet but I bet she's got a few bits hidden somewhere!

I think girl, he thinks boy, somebody is wrong... unless it's twins!

Thanks guys. I've just been and had my hair done and it looks LAVERLY for when we go out for a meal later

Other than that a mixed day so far. Meh.

Re: gender. I am ALWAYS wrong when it comes to my babies. I honestly don't care whether it's a boy or girl. Instinct is telling me girl. So I am definitely having a boy....

fran-O don't know if you remember but we were on the wedding boards together and got married on the same day... So pleased to see you are expecting again, I have my fingers crossed for you that everything progresses well. The only reason I am posting (as I am only lurking in here really, not ttc-ing again yet) is that my EDD was also 22nd Jan (although 2012) with my daughter she arrived on the 19th though. I just thought that was a funny coincidence considering we share a wedding anniversary x

I know how you feel, but at least I had an appointment with the doctor- quick check of blood pressure and got an envelope full of leaflets and a massive booket to fill out asking about all my and DH's family's illnesses/conditions. If I smoke, take drugs, my occupation etc etc. Takes ages to fill in as DH's family sounds like they need to be put down the amount of things they have!! :rotfl:

They also gave me a telephone number to book my 10 week scan.

I thought they'd do a bit more, but apparently home testing kits are good enough for them and it saves them money!

Anyway congrats and it won't be long until the scan

Have any of you guys heard of the 'nub' theory for guessing gender? I just had a look online for some examples and to find out how it works and following the theory.... this baby is a girl.

I dug out DD's and DS's 12 week scans too and they both follow the same pattern and ended up being correct. Spooky!

I am lurking away feeling sick still and very tired.
I love seeing your scan pics Lily post away. I have not had any scans yet was offered an early one but wanted to keep pretending it wasnt real in case it all went wrong so no scan here until 12 weeks I guess. I have the midwife appointment booked now for 26th June when I should be around 10 weeks x
