misscoupon wrote: »Hi all and welcome to all the new BFPs
I had a massive scare on bank holiday Monday with really painful pelvic cramping and thumping in my lower belly. We went to A&E who suspected might be ectopic pregnancy...
Due to the time in the evening, it was too late to see anyone at the EPU so I had to be monitored all night on a hospital ward and wait till Tuesday morning for early scan. This was the longest night of my life, honestly!
Anywho finally had transvaginal ultrasound at 10 in the morning, baby is fine with heartbeat and measuring 30.4mm crown to rump :j:j
The diagnostic is... trapped wind
It's a massive relief! We've now told both sets of parents who are over the moon.
For the list Lilymay: dating scan on 17th June, EDD 25th December (based on LMP and fetus size)
:rotfl:sorry, I have a childish sense of humour and that comment made me chuckle. so glad everything is ok for you
Lily you're a menace with that doppler! at least you got to see baby again
Congratulations to those with twins! DH is adamant he'd prefer twins 'cos then you get it over and done with in one go'....
Firefly 1kg is 2lb ish, right? that's not too bad, considering the amount of bloating etc you might have.
AFM i promised myself i wouldn't be but i'm already going totally neurotic. even though i had a lovely strong line on a FRER i'm not happy with the faint lines i had on the ICs, so i took another one this morning to compare with Mondays and the line was still faintbut slightly stronger so i ended up waking DH up to ask him to compare, which he really appreciated at 06:05 on a day off i could tell lol might get a digi on the way home to reassure myself, but i'm scared it'll come up as 'not pregnant' and i've been totally fooling myself...

TL - Congrats on you're BFP!! I was the same with the opk's getting super faint lines... but the CB digi gave me a 1-2 weeks. Not beleiving it, i waited a whole week and did another CB digi (yes i made dh spend a tenner on it) and came back as 2-3 weeks. I had still been poas with the IC's and been getting gradually stronger and stronger lines... I've stopped testing now, even thought I have NO pg symptoms, but I was the same with my first pg.
AFM, I've finally got my booking in today at 1pm then dh and I are going to watch a film with the rest of the afternoon off... might as well make the most of the time while DD is at nursery!!
Congrats to shortdog omg twins!! How lovely, i would love twins but not sure how i would cope especially with one already...
Congrats to those other new BFPers

Lily, glad your oh has taken the doppler off you, you're a menace!
glad all is well
Teamlowe, v glad to see you and firefly over here
Congrats on the twins shortdog! Do we get a pic?
I found this amazing website ages ago that shows you your embryo/fetus/baby's development step by step (based on dpo)- I thought you guys might like to check out your own stages? Mine's at this stage: http://www.visembryo.com/baby/16.html You can use the direction buttons top left to move stages
Afm, I had a nasty uti last week and now the nastier antibiotics have given me a horrible case of thrushReally uncomfortable and sore. Thankfully midwife said I can use Caneston cream (but not the tablet) and I've picked up some acidophilus (which my slowed down digestive system is also grateful of
) so hopefully balance will be restored soon  Reckon I'll be taking cranberry tablets for the rest of this pg in the hopes it'll reduce uti's - I can't be doing with this all the time!
Told my parents on the weekend and dh's aunt (he's an orphan). They're both excited and very made up for usMy dad was ringing me the day after, checking if we'd got home ok and how was I feeling and was I being sick etc. Bless him
The last grandchild to be born for them was 10 yrs ago, so sis reckons this one will have the excitement ramped up and get rather spoilt
They also know we were staring down the barrel of IVF, so they're relieved for us too, I think

ooh thanks for that BigZ, my little blob is apparently 0.4mm, d'aww lol and your dad is so cute! my parents haven't said much as i think they're being cautious but mum asked me last night if i was having a proper breakfast, wasn't satisfied with answer of 'breakfast biscuits' and told me i have to have cereal with milk lol xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Crunchy oats breakfast biscuits are my life savers. I can't face dairy 90% of the time. I take them out with me in my bag too
I was so sick of carbs and ice pops I went on the hunt for smoothies I could freeze so I could get some fruit in my system, found some though , thanks Innocent!

I've always hated the taste of milk but both this pregnancy and the last one I actually really like it so hopefully a glass a day won't be a problem, apart from i really want the full fat really creamy stuff, so my scales might protest! lolLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Bump due 18th January :j0 -
I just checked out that website Zippy. My baked bean is 25mm but I am 49dpo (just counted) so it's not accurate for me.

evening all.... hope everyone is well. had my midwife app today she is lovely and the student midwife she had with her was lovely too..... the midwife said there is no reason why i can't have another natural birth ... was so worried after GP's telling me i would have to have a section due to my condition .. obv things could change but fingers crossed all will be ok and a natural birth will go ahead ... im being referred to the consultant led team so will see a consultant team, GP and midwife during this pregnancy ... the referral is so they can keep a closer eye on baby as my son was born with a birth defect and had an operation at 5/ 6 months old .. he is fine now but the midwife said they will probably do extra scans etc ... so we can try and find out as much as possible and weather this baby has it too so its not so much of a shock when baby is born if it does (hope that makes sense),,, as long as baby is ok i dont care how many extra app's i have to have i just want to get through this pregnancy with as healthy a baby as possible holding him or her in my arms and that im as healthy as can be xx
hope everyone is well hugs to all that need/want one xx200 weeks £25,000.00 / £7000
