    Hi teamlowe! Congratulations.
Just to say, I had 2 mcs and was promised a reassurance scan this time, but when I got pg again I had a terrible time getting a referral for one. Mw refused as I hadn't had three. I ended up having to be scanned early anyway due to bleeding but, where I live anyway, reassurance scans are very hard to get!

Really sorry If I've missed anyone off. I just typed the names in the order I found on this thread so please don't be offended by your place!
I think it's probably best if people just type their EDD and 12 week scan dates and I'll fill in the original list, rather than it getting copy and pasted a million times over :) Also, I realise EDD's are subject to change at this stage so put whatever date you feel happy with. I think mine is going to end up nearer to 30th Dec but heyho.

I had a terrible day yesterday and spent most of it crying hysterically because I couldn't find baby's heartbeat. I probably spent about 2 hours trying to no avail. My lower abdomen is so so painful and bruised after all my prodding. Fortunately, however, I just found it now so am feeling loads better. I had just phoned EPU too. Feel quite stupid now. I am really finding it so hard to keep my mind focused on a good outcome. I wish I could explain to people how totally consuming my fears are. I know a lot of you understand so please forgive my constant worrying. I realise how irritating it must be.

Delurking from 12-24 week thread. Hope your feeling better now you have found heart beat, I have to say that is the main reason I decided against a doppler, thought I would end up getting myself into some right states.

You are not stupid at all, you have had some incredibly stressful times and its no wonder your nervous. I understand what you mean about the fears just consuming every part of life. After losing one of our twins I am now a nervous wreck, have only just started to relax at 17 weeks now!

Hang on in there, you WILL have a happy outcome and you WILL be holding a beautiful baby soon :D

Thanks lily. Feel free to put me in as 27 November. I have largely moved over to the 12-24 weeks thread now though x

I'm really sorry you had a hard day yesterday. I haven't actually heard baby's heartbeat yet so always have a little worrying voice in my head. We have seen it beating during the 12 week scan tough :) When should I hear it ( what appointments as I don't have a doppler)

I'm rubbish at these lists! I'll just take you off if you've ready had your scan :)

Your m/w may try to listen at the 16 week appointment but it's not unusual to wait until the 25 week one (particularly if the lady is on the larger side). If your m/w doesn't offer at 16 weeks, i'd probably ask if she will try :)

LilyMay - lots of love to you, such a scary time but i'm full of confidence for you :) NHS site tells me due date should be 3rd February

Maire - i'm not holding out much hope of an early scan but can't hurt to ask. the EPU here works differently to most in that you self refer - it's basically open in the morning and you sit and wait to be seen, so it's up to the nurses there whether you get scanned or not :o i'll find their number and give them a bell, i'm expecting them to say no but might as well ask

sweaty betty - thanks for the recommendation, looks like decent prices if a bit sickly sweet sort of place! St Helen's isn't very far away at all for us so it would be great to go there

firefly - I'm not telling many people as Lily say, it's really hard saying 'not any more i'm not' :o but on the other hand i will tell my close friends when i'm further along - the people I'd want support from if things were to go wrong again.

anyone else feel like they've got a big flashing sign over their head? it's mildly disappointing that no one is mentioning it, surely i'm all aglow and radiating pregnant vibes and they're just ignoring it, how rude! :rotfl:

Lily, your worries are absolutely understandable given what you've been through - and we're always here to listen. So glad you found the hb today :D

Based on when FF says I ovulated and the NHS website, my due date is 25.12.2013, but I'm expecting this to change. My 12 (actually 13+2) scan is on the 20th of June, and that's also when I'm seeing the consultant for the first time. Not too sure what to expect from the consultant appointment but I'm expecting to be as underwhelmed as I was with the first midwife appointment :rotfl:

I can honestly say that I don't believe I've heard baby's heartbeat yet. I have a doppler and have tried, but only ever pick up my own. I thought I'd found it on the day before my scan, but it was showing at just over 110 and when I went to the scan the hb was 158 so I probably had it wrong. I'm trying not to get concerned about it though - I'm probably just rubbish with a doppler. It doesn't help that I never have a full bladder (due to vomiting) and have a retroverted uterus too I suppose.

TL, I really hope they give you an early scan, let us know how you get along... so pleased to see you here!

    So true!!

Totally understandable how you feel lily. Glad youre feeling better today. Was considering getting a doppler. For those that have them, good idea or not?

Did you ring the EPU TL?

For the list (thanks lily!) im gona go with EDD 11/1/14 with no date for 12week scan yet but having early scan this Thurs so might hopefully know better by then.
