does anyone know if you can store and view documents (such as Word docs or PDF files) on this phone?

also, there seems to be some confusion about the refurbished phones... are the 200 mins included with these or not? previous posts seem to provide contradictory information....

The Virgin CS guy I spoke to said that if you paid the extra £10 for the sim, it would include £5 credit and they would give you the 200min top up as well. And so would be more value than the cost, I declined so cannot confirm. The only way to find out is to call them before they all go.

As to files, it is a Microsoft Windows smart phone and comes with cd containing apps like Outlook.

EDIT found you can do Office documents and pdf files but need something like ClearVue

It seems to depend very much who you get through to. I rang yesterday and again this morning and was told both times that only £29.99 ones are available and that the £19.99 ones had gone out by mistake to people using Virgin staff discount codes.

I rang again 5 minutes ago and got a £19.99 one without a sim card, no hassle, arguments or problems!!

I got the £19.99 one yesterday, for Sat delivery. Perhaps Cs have been given a lecture on how to procede, now that it is getting hot. After all the phone is sold cheap to get revenue from calls, i.e the Polaroid princlple.

just spoke to a manager and they have agreed to let him have one (he was after 2 for his kids) he had to give him a virgin number and said that if we wanted the other one he had to order again with a different card, address, and virgin number.

Sorry - didn't get his name.
He did need to check with his manager the warranty details, and I honestly thought that he would then come back and say that he'd got it wrong and that there were no £19.99 ones, but he didn't so obviously the cs managers are aware and still letting these go at £19.99.

With this in mind I would suggest asking to speak to a cs manager if the person you get through to says there are no £19.99 ones.
  • I've just got 3 for three kids, 1 @ £19.99 and 2 with sims @ £29.99 I phoned the 789 number (customer services) and had no problems at all. I had previously bougt one for £42.00 earlier in the week for my wife and the kids loved it so thats Birthdays sorted!!!
