    It needs a virgin sim to acquire a license - the license is then good for a month, you should be able to use any sim. If you want to renew it will need to have a virgin sim in it again

    From t&c's the 200 mins should be added to phone before 30th june, and comes in two 100 min bundles.

    200 Minutes Promotion

    The demo on the website is very clear about the free 90 days, so I wouldn't worry. I would take a guess that the licence is renewed on a monthly basis, thus it shows your current licence as one month, but will renew this next month and the following month to give you free service until 7 August.

    uumm....so i am buying the refurbished, i dont get the 200 minutes??? :confused:

    Mine was finally delivered, the last package of the day - I was waiting for ages because I needed to pop out the office!

    I was just about to post about problem #1 - getting the batter cover off but just solved it! What a crap design! For anybody else reading, the silver catch is part of the phone. Rest the phone one your leg, then pull the catch down with one hand and use the other hand to push the black battery cover towards the catch.
  • Hmm...well just phoned up virgin and got told that Lynx (delivery firm) did not get my parcel to the depot today so i have to wait until tomorrow :(

    No, as far as I could tell, when I telephoned, the recon 29.99 phone comes with the sim including £5 credit, £10 the next month and the 200 free mins...

    If you go on to the Vigin mobile website and go to "your account" or "create an account" for existing Virgin customers, you can view your call credit, see recent call list and more. If you look at your "Rewards with red" you can see how much credit you have earned towards a new phone. I typically only spend £10 p/month and I had £20 to use towards a new phone.It depends how much you spend with them.
