The salesperson I spoke to wasn't angry - he just laughed really and pointed out that the use of the code "had been noticed". My order was not cancelled and he took my order for the reconditioned one.
It's a good idea to remove the Tribe code from the site but if you've already used it, I don't think you need to worry.

And while I'm here, big thanks for the original post, codes and the info about the recon. phones. Just got to work out how to get TomTom now....

Yes but on the +ve side it may cost Virgin a tenner extra per phone, but they will be signing up 1000s of new customers so I think they will be quietly pleased with this one.

Ooh, have had a very mixed experience with this one. Couldn't get the tribes code to work 25% but could get the 20% lifestyle one to work fine but not in combo with quidco. Abandoned quidco as I wanted the phone at £42.95 new delivered but only if I said I was new customer. Anyway, ordered Tues lunchtime and got a delivery time wed 0800-1700. No phone, not yesterday , nor today so rang them, no trace of order but got passed around to people who were very interested in the use of the codes. They said quote" we hae had people ringing up today to get these phones and the codes were only meant for staff" In the background I re-ordered using the original route, and late tonight, it got rejected for "payment card reasons". It is 24 hotline so have just rang up (there is absolutely no reason why my my cc should be rejected so I wonder whether they have got wise to the discount codes and don't like them) , anyway I am now getting a definite delivery of Saturday morning. I am a bit jealous of the £19.99 without credit voucher kings but I am sure I will use the £20 in one way or another.

Anyway thanks to the OP, I will get there in the end I hope!

I just use the 'contact us' facility on their website http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/contactUs.do and usually get a response within no more than 24 hours.

I am thinking of buying one for OH. he's got another mob on 02, but i think he will be thrilled to get one that has got DAB reception. Am really skint, but its a good deal. Guess i'll just have to stick to baked beans for a week.

Can someone tell me if the 200 minutes thats free is given only to the sim that will be supplied by the phone? Or is it in the form of a code that you key in when using any Virgin PAYG and get the minutes on any sim?

we do have a Virgin PAYG sim, and hope to use that with the phone. (otherwise, between the both of us, there will be too many mobile numbers flying about)

Where are the video files saved? When i go to pictures and video all i have in there is the pictures i've taken.

i'll get one today. it looks bulky and slightly deformed with the bulge on one side.....but guys dont normally care too much about the look. they will be too busy playing with the functions....right?

i didnt ask him if he would like it, and i dont think he expect to get a phone..so hopefully he will be pleased with it.

i dont car about the look some people are more into image than anything at least it'l be harder to lose
