Now, just phoned them up and asked for prices...they say they do not do this phone without the sim card, therefore only having recon at £29.99 only...

Is there something else I have to say to get the phone without sim card?

I have just tried and they said that it worked out the same. Once you activate the new sim that has £5 on it they would then send a £10 credit to your number after 40 days.

Not sure if you get the 200 minutes on the new sim.

I think they have done this as they have had a lot of requests. (Wonder why)

Oops...tried to edit but didnt work...

Nevere mind now, re-phoned up and got a nice woman who I had a nice chat with and I got the £19.99 w/o sim one!

yes, they do encourage you toward getting the £29.99 with sim option but if you resist their pitch you can get it without.

If bought with sim (includes £5 credit) @ £29.99, does your account automatically recieves the £10 credit once the phone is used or is this offer only for those people who spoke to customer services and asked for it ?

Not sure if this has been posted before, but as an existing Virgin Pay as you go customer, you could also be entitled to an upgrade credit.

I checked my account and it took off £20 - the whole thing including delivery and my 200 free mins cost me £22.98!!

What a saving!!
