Virgin Lobster mobile phone with built in DAB and TV

Just ordered a reconditioned one, you can either get it for £19.99 without a simcard, or for an extra £10 you can get a sim card with £5 credit on it and another £10 credited to your account if you use the sim card for one call within 40 days, so effectively £15 for £10cash. Most people are going to need a sim card anyhow so may be a better option.

P.s Has anyone managed to install any tom tom USA maps on it and if so what version I go to vegas in 3 weeks and would be fab if I could take it and use it there.

Had a bit of a play on the phone, getting used to the functions... loving the fact it's "working" without the sim Yet to set up the TV thing, pressed the button, it scanned, found 5 channels... and then needed to subscribe or something, at which point I realised I'd come home late and needed to be up early so put it away until later.

Am I right in thinking that the 90 day free telly service is from the first day of subscription, not the day of purchase? Thanking you's muchly.

I wonder if you can use the free minutes abroad? Inclusive minutes on contract is usually a big fat NO, but this is PAYG. It'd be right handy for a week in Spain and then I could give the phone to one of my sister's kids afterwards!

If so, can you turn the image side ways so its in a decent aspect ratio?

Yep, its from the date of subscription. I only managed to get 5 channels as well... How do I unlock it without adding £30 of credit? It appears some people have managed to do this?

i've got all the files need to do this, phone should be here tomorrow so will post back after i've tested it out
