    Homemade Coconut Milk

Add 2 cups of dessicated coconut to 2 1/2 cups of hot water.
Allow to cool, then blend/process for about 20 secs.
Strain, pressing out all the liquid (muslin or a J cloth is best for straining)

loobyloo you do know you can freeze rhubarb, just wipe, slice, bag and freeze, perfect and it stays freeflow in the bag

Thanks - I still have rhubarb from last year. My garden grows fruit so well that I freeze tons and give away the rest.

Jet77 mum is in B'ham but I moved away. Last year I put it out early one Sunday and a car stopped and took the lot. They were on their way to the local car boot- you can guess the rest. Now I put it out at midday-ish

    Good morning everyone,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOMO1 - hope you have a lovely day xxx

Well. i have a day off today, and ive been looking forward to it!!! Its raining, so really good for my garden, but not so good for a day out, but never mind, we can have a day vegging at home, which is just as good!!!

DSs football presentation yesterday was brilliant - he won the trophy for 'most improved player' which was a lovely surprise. I also won a bottle of champagne and a big cinnamon candle in the raffle, so really chuffed there too (im on a winning streak at the moment, hope it continues!!!). Had a few drinks and it was lovely to talk to other adults - the children were able to go outside and play football, and then came in to watch the Arsenal Chelsea match, so q lots of 10 year olds shouting at the television (and lots of 'big kids') - the dads, shouting as well!!!! We didnt get home until 7.30, so it was a very quick, and unhealthy dinner of HM chips, as i hadnt expected to be home so late.

Plans for today, a bit of cleaning, some sorting out of some junk in the attic, and lots of vegging out with my children!!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jet77 - I agree over Flylady, it is so much easier when someone just hands you a list. :T many thanks lil_me :T
Crutches - Hello and welcome to the thread

Another one getting the airers out today. Not happy it is raining as have loads of washing to do, but pleased as my poor garden and alotment are parched. All the grass has taken on an unhealthy brown / yellow colour so the rain is really needed.

I'm flyladying this morning (or should that be flying?), this afternoon i was planning to take the kids for a walk on the beach - I may still do that even if it is raining as it will be lovely and quiet :D.

Dinner tonight is a casserole of some kind thrown in the slowcooker - I have some veggies that look like they aren't going to last much longer so I will throw them in, probably some chick peas too, maybe some dumplings on top???

BM on, WM on, Flylady list planted firmly in hand.....I'm off to have a quick nosey around MSE, then off to get the housework out of the way:)

Have a good day everyone and hugs to those who need or want one.

    Goodmorning everyone :j

and happy birthday to SOMO1 :bdaycake:

I normally post on DFW daily thread but when I was writing today It occurred to me that it might be better to post on this thread instead :)

I have packed in smoking as of today so I have decided to blitz the house to a) keep my hands busy b) keep my mind off smoking c) get me through cravings d) use up and aggression I may have :o e) my house is a tip.

I have also jumped back onto the weekly meal planning bandwagon so today we are having HM soup left over from yesterday and HM bread when I get off here and put the breadmaker on. For dinner I am having a go at Ginghams Galette au Chou - it sounds lovely.

If it doesnt rain here Im going to have to water my veggie patch. Also need to put a few more seeds in and set off some more sweet peas as well as digging out all of the weeds from my big planter for salad leaves to grow in.

Have a good day everybody :j

    Hi Everyone

Been so busy househunting, the amount you spend on petrol and eating out! We haven't been getting in till 11pm, to avoid the screaming kids that are making our lives hell. I'm not anti children but these are excessive after a day at work and driving. The parents don't care when we say anything, these are children of university lecturers, not chavs!:(

Still haven't found a place to buy, so given we have 32 days to go, we are likely to rent, but trying to find a place that is quiet enough (away from potentially screaming kids, barking dogs, building work and partying teenagers/students), and our budget isn't too bad, is like trying to find a needle in haystack.

Our son THINKS he might have got caught by a speeding camera, his 2 years expires in mid June, so dreading the post. We know it comes around 8 days after the event but it is holiday day, so if we don't get the dreaded post this week, we should be OK.

We got a lovely surprise from Oxford Council for accidently straying into a buses only zone. It has changed so much and it wasn't very clear it was restricted - so hate Oxford with avengence now - all £30 worth. We were simply driving through and used to know the place so well! But I don't expect any sympathy, given the flaming I got about complaining about a tea room that gave bad service, on this site!

I am rather down to be honest, for the last 10 years, we have lived in noisy homes with uncaring and nasty neighbours and had the most attrocious luck, which I won't go into now.

I am not getting on with my OH very well either and my mother is a control freak. I don't feel I have any mates either. So I don't know why I am bothering tbh.:(

So it's a wonder, I've not gone nuts:(
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.
