Got off to a slow start this morning, but catching up.

WM load nr 3 is on, but due to the rain I have to use the dryer. Which is a shame really because it uses a lot of electricity. But doing it on the weekend saves me a bit, so that's a plus.

Did the girls bedroom just now and need a cuppa to recuperate!
There's 4 girls in there so you'd expect a bit of mess, but oh boy am I ticked!!
We told the older 3 to tidy and clean up yesterday, but turns out they ended up shoving everything under their beds!
I filled an entire bin bag with what came off of their floor!. And what gets me most is the total disrespect my children seem to have for their and our belongings. I found dirty underpants with menstrual blood tucked under DD1's bed.. (YUCK!!!) and here she is complaining to me that she doesn't have enough underwear!

There is marker pen on the floor, old stickers, and there are loads of nicks, dents and cuts in the lino. We only fixed that room up 2 years ago with brand new paint and lino and everything.. they punched holes in the walls to hang up posters.. marker pen on the walls, and well, pretty much everywhere. And my pet peave.. dirty band-aids stuk to the floor!! It's fine to use one (or do you call the plasters in the UK?) when you have a scrape or a cut, but I HATE it when I then find the dirty discarded ones stuck to things around the house!! YUCK YUCK!!!

Did find out that stardrops is a magic potion for getting old stickers and band-aids off of the floor though! :D

It just kills me that we work so hard to be able to keep the house nice and buy nice furniture and stuff to create a pleasant home to live in, and these kids just don't seem to care one little bit! We might as well live in a hovel in the ground!

Through all this cleaning on my part and DH who was doing the kitchen, DD1 sat on the couch watching tv and snacking. I got so furious at one point that I came up to her and said: "Is everything as you wish madam? Is the room to your liking? Would you like extra roomservice?"

She just huffed at me... as usual.

    I'm fed up!!

HOW do you get kids to co-operate? HOW do you get them to have a little respect for everything we are trying to do? Are they just too spoiled? Heaven knows I'm not the easiest of mum's because I am pretty strict, but as soon as I think they've got it and lay off of them a little they go straight back to their old living in a hotel routine...

    Grrrmblllll..

Lil_me, you would think that nothing much could change with flour, wouldn't you. Made my muffins and they were like banana rock buns. Edible but not share-able.
AnW'smum, poor D,hope she's better soon. And Becca, I can't offer any child co-operation advice (not qualified) but both of you can have a hug.

I'm still not dressed. It's fab! I've had to close the livingroom curtains though, my side window looks onto the church garden next door. A bagpiper has just started his warm-up about 2 metres from my open window...I guess there's going to be a wedding. There must be loads of photos with my washing-up/smalls on the line in the background.

    Stuff to do today.

    Charity shop stuff to deliver
    Prescription to fetch
    More blummin cat food shopping
    I[STRIKE]roning[/STRIKE]
Bathroom to clean -missed this week.
    [STRIKE]Make something lovely[/STRIKE]. I fancy muffins. (Not a sucess)
Paperwork to sort out and file.

Not much else I can do without getting dressed. Off I go.

Just to say I'm still in my pyjamas.:o
I've done nearly all the daily stuff and a few things off my ongoing list but don't seem to have got round to getting dressed yet. So the house is fine(ish) but I'm not! Am I the only one who leaves getting dressed to disgustingly late hour at the weekend?

Off to put on the BM, empty the WM, rewash the towels that have already been out in the garden but the birds pood on them, then have a bath and get dressed.

Do I get chucked of the list for being a sloven?;)

Solwaykid -- we were writing at the same time. You've made me feel a lot better. I even went out in the garden in my pjs to fetch in the washing (not I pretty sight I assure you) but I don't think I could cope with a wedding party in the next door garden!

grannynise, I won't get dressed if you don't! Just spoken to my S-I-L in Yorkshire and she's not dressed yet either. Must be the day for it.

Anyone else want to join the club of shame?!

My PJs bottoms are still on :o but with a t-shirt, also been in the garden, but they were clean on this morning, I like the bottoms they are comfy, must remember to get changed before I go to my sisters. Neighbour does the same so not too bothered. Better than the rather larger than me woman few doors up who wanders about in short nighties. DP always says puts him off his breakfast :rotfl:

Becca, I always say with things like keeping a home spotless and nicely decorated it's impossible when there are little ones around. We've banned any pens etc from being taken upstairs after 'Doodles' (better known as my 6 year old) wouldn't stop drawing on walls.
One day I might be more organised...........

heheeh Solway and grannynise I didn't get dressed until 1pm today so can I join?

The other w/e the kids did not getdressed at all one day! Too busy doing other things and by lunch time I figured why bother! lol

In fact DD is sleeping now just in her pants, feels too hot to wear anything at the mo. DS is not dressed yet today, we have just watched F1 qualifying, doubt he'll bother getting dressed now. Who cares what anyone else thinks ;)

Well, here it is officially banned as well! As well as food/sweets/drinks.. but I still found loads of sweety wrappers, and even a mouldy cup hiding in a corner..
DD1 keeps her school stuff upstairs as well, and I can't ban that can I? :D

If it was the little ones i wouldn't even bother so much, but the biggest culprit in my house is 14 yr old daughter!!
